Close to a whole two years after the fact, my curiosity was piqued and I checked up on the details of an ancient force in the SMF community...
So now I'm genuinely scratching my head as to why SolitudeSeeker was permabanned. Yeah his writing style was... unique, but he mostly stuck to the Spam Forum and didn't harm anyone. If anything, I think the users at the time were a little too harsh on him. Perhaps the mods could've been a tad more lenient with a user with a very clear mental disability.
So I'm making this post in honour of you buddy. If you're reading this, you have my well wishes, lol.

Still, given his personality, I doubt it was out of malice... it could've been for the best, but I think he might've appreciated and learnt from another chance. |

He was a sweet guy that had a lot of anger issues and took it out on people over the weirdest things. It took a long time for the mods to decide on permabanning him because of his mental disability, however it made it extremely difficult for the mods to keep him around. What you don't see in your searches are the several dozen posts that had to be straight deleted. Entire threads of hate and incoherent tirades that no one dared to even touch (which is a feat in SMF..). For a while we thought he was suicidal it was so bad. In the end he just doesn't fit in SMF. Personally I hope he's doing well but he's too volatile here. It wasn't even because of disagreements.. it was because he would full on attack people when he wasn't doing well. That's dangerous. After a few months the mods had no choice.

I only come here to see occasional updates on ANW and Sasuke, which I am not even supposed to be doing. Having an alternate account has a no tolerance. After what happened, I agree with arsenette that SMF is just not the place for me to be. |
