Have they always treated a DQ as being kicked out of the comp instead of the same as a fall? I’m honestly struggling to remember.

Best episode this season, by far!!! so many inspiring runs, and 7/20 qualifiers are women.
800,000-900,000

Australia is the only anw's spin off that i followed . It has amazing potential, but here's a few : - commentator are meh (dont worry anw dix it too on their early years atleast till s4) - mini course . The course could've just bigger or set more elegant like anw instead of look mini and simple I follow quite a few ANW spin-offs and I don't think the Aussie course looks mini and simple. I really like it's look and like the fact that it is done outside and there seems to be more pools than most other ANW spin-offs. I also like how they do make their own obstacles and adaptations of obstacles. And you've got to remember that ANW is by far the biggest Ninja Warrior show so it has a much bigger budget in comparison to Australian Ninja Warrior. I thought I'd put a list of the obstacles so far in case it's useful to anyone: HEAT 1: Quintuple steps *T-slide to punching bag Bridge of blades *Ball swing to cargo net Flying shelf grab Warped wall HEAT 2: Quintuple steps ^UFO slider Bridge of blades Basket toss (Spin cycle) Pipe climber (Pipe fitter) Warped wall HEAT 3: Quintuple steps *Rolling pin to bungee Bridge of blades Rope to cargo net Big wheels (Fly wheels) Warped wall *AuNW original ^Modified for AuNW

My range was spot on, it got 851,000. News still dominating overall, but Ninja warrior still winning non-news, and it extended its margin from Masterchef from 1,000 to 30,000

When Aussie Ninja Warrior does a whole video dedicated to one ninja: I wonder who's winning this year? {Spoiler} The video shows Jack Wilson gets to at least stage 2 of the final.

Yeah I wrote that comment and also: {Spoiler} All 5 (apart from maybe Olivia as she might just have been last woman standing) must have reached stage 2 as I saw another couple of ninjas on stage 2 in another piece of promo from before the season started who aren't in the team.

Crap, I didn't put my usual statement for last night haha Anyway, here are the ratings. It, again, out ranked every single non-news program by a huge margin, and destroyed any rumor that it could be potentially underperforming, pulling nearly 1,000,000. Goes to show how much influence Rupert Murdoch has in Australia looking at those news ratings.

I swear, if they use the Basket Toss (Spin Cycle) in heat 6 as well, I'm gonna go crazy...

Well after seeing AuNW last season, I thought about it's worth checking out the 2nd season, and man it just gets better. On the 2nd season of a ANW spinoff (and not Sasuke spinoff) winds up having three women completed a qualifying course in the same heat!
The best ANW spinoff so far is AuNW > Ninja Warrior UK... hands down.

School and power outage meant I forgot to put up the ratings for last night. Murdoch media, again, dominated the brainwashed public. In the non news category, however, there was a tie in the rating. Both NW and House Rules got 838,000. This was caused by a massive under performance in the Brisbane market for NW.

Well after seeing AuNW last season, I thought about it's worth checking out the 2nd season, and man it just gets better. On the 2nd season of a ANW spinoff (and not Sasuke spinoff) winds up having three women completed a qualifying course in the same heat! The best ANW spinoff so far is AuNW > Ninja Warrior UK... hands down. You can't necessarily say that - everyone has their own opinion, for example, I don't think the heats of AuNW were that good so I'll use this as an opportunity to review this season so far, starting with bad: - Firstly obstacles: they used the bridge of blades every episode, spin cycle for half of them, bad jump hang versions for the other half, three bad versions of the big dipper, three mediocre obstacles using the cannonball drop track, they kept the quintuples, the fifth obstacles weren't that hard and having episodes where the 2nd obstacle was the cut-off is ridiculous.
- Secondly, format: when there are ANW spin-offs that do 2 stages in the heats (eg. Germany, France and many others) surely that is better than having the same six poor obstacles all episode.
- Finally, commentary: the best commentator on AuNW is IMO Ben Fordam but he isn't very good at all and Rebecca Madern is awful.
However, I admit there are some good things about AuNW: - Doing it outside is a big plus, looks much better than in a studio and the cliff backdrop is brilliant, it's a shame they won't have that next year.
- From videos on their social media accounts, the semis and finals look a lot better.
- And that's about it.
So, overall I'd say it's not the best ANW spin-off IMO but it is in my top 4 (behind Germany, France and UK but that could change by the time this series has finished).

I greatly enjoyed the heats and look forward to the final three episodes. While, I don't think there will be a Kanzenseiha (Total Victory), I am leery of how the commentators will spin it if there is one. I do not want to hear how it took seven years in America for there to be a Kanzenseiha. While the AuNW course is tough, it has not had the continual build up of ANW and the preceding shows. Ninja as a sport, even in Australia, is building on Sasuke and ANW. The coverage of women up the warped wall in Australia is what irks me. It's a great accomplishment, but the Australian wall is 13'8" vs. the 14' wall for the first seven seasons of ANW, 10cm less. When ANW added 6" (15.25 cm) in season 8 there were many fails by seasoned ninjas. It is a great accomplishment to complete the qualifiers, but not the same feat. The finals course while difficult, and not knowing the AuNW filming schedule, also does not seem to be the same or as difficult as ANW finals. AuNW is the only ANW off shoot that I have followed for more than one season. Watching it has made me appreciate ANW a lot more. I didn't realize until this season how much I didn't like cargo nets. While difficult, they are slow and anticlimactic. All the drama over keeping, shorts, shirts and hair out of the water is annoying, and to be repetitive, the nets are so slow. Looking forward to this week and a possible Kanzenseiha and seeing the finalist in Las Vegas for USA vs. the World. {Personal Opinion } USA vs. the World always sounded bad, but sounds so much worse now.

FYI, it's actually a 4 week series this year, so it'll be 6 more episodes.
