Hey,
I've always seen it as there being two grips - all five fingers on top of bar or four on top of bar and thumbs on underside for support.
Well, for laches I much prefer all five thumbs over bar (makes me "letting go of the previous bar" part far less awkward). One of my things is doing 30 laches forward and backwards across my monkey-bars. I can do far more with the five fingers on top grip.
But recently, this grip has been actually painful to hold, and there's a burning sensation around the top of my palm after every lache.
I'm curious if anyone knows what this new pain is. Overdoing it? The heat? Out of practice? I have no idea myself.
