I will wait until Challenge airs all of their new episodes - hopefully it does go all the way up until 35 - and then put together all of the cut runs, all in one go. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sasuke_(TV_series)#BroadcastAccording to Wikipedia it is up to 34 Well that's make sense I guess. The 28-30 batch was purchased months after 31 aired, and this batch has been purchased months after 35.

Interestingly, Darvish hasn't been shown once during this batch of tournaments.

Apart from maybe a pacing issue with the amount of actual runs we actually get to see (although this is slightly made up for by seeing runs in full that we haven't seen before) the biggest issue with these broadcast episodes is that some stage 1 clears have been erased altogether. Sasuke 31 had 17 clears but according to the UK edit there's only (13 clears). Sasuke 32 had all 8 clears but Sasuke 33 (which had 13 clears) only has 9 clears. As nweston8 said, there hasn't been any runs from Darvish, plus ABCZ guy, Takeru & Mori (who all beat Stage 1 in Sasuke 33). Only thing that's really disappointed me so far.

This may not be up to Challenge or even TBS. It's quite possible that due to them being celebrities, and in Japan the likeness of many celebrities are treated almost like IP owned by companies, it is very possible that their talent agencies did not consent to allow international broadcast on the release documents.

That's not a thing. The raw video is available for everyone to do what they want. That I got from the top. I asked because G4 was so liberal in the past with edits that I thought it came from TBS and it didn't. They don't have edit requirements when they sell the tournament packages. Whatever edits happened in the UK came from Challenge.

With Challenge making that decision, I'm really curious as to why / how they made cutting decisions.

I was hoping TBS would do something about the horrendous errors in translation and even straight cuts (like what happened in 27 because of the NBC/ANW airing that altered Ninja Warrior) but no.. they don't do anything once they sell the raw package.

Personally I'm just gutted that they only started airing unaired (on TBS) runs starting with the 31 dub. Prior to that, 28-30 were literally just dub episodes cut from the official TBS broadcast, with no extra unseen footage. If they'd just started buying the raw footage one tournament earlier, we may have actually seen Yamada's Sasuke 30 run. Unfortunately, no, and that run will likely remain lost forever.

His 30 run was just him timing out again on the warped wall.

That run is not even included in the Sasuke 30 special edition DVD that came out in Japan that had every run included.. except his. So no it doesn't exist at all as far as TBS is concerned. There's nothing that Challenge can do since it won't be in that package anyway.

Challenge was how I got into Ninja Warrior, and then I found about SASUKE. Brings back memories.

The only chance you might have to see Yamadas run is to go to Japan and meet someone in the stalls from sasuke 30 who might have recorded his run.Id prefer to see Naganos cut Sasuke 7 run.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't they show that run during his final intro piece in Sasuke 32, or upload it online shortly after or something? Sorry, my memory of that tournament is fuzzy.

You are correct. They showed a piece of that somewhere.. I think it might have been in the Sasuke 30 DVD History thingie.. or around that time. I remember being in chat when we saw it flash on screen with "BABY NAGANO".. It might have been the same broadcast where they showed Okyuyama's cut run as well.

IIRC they only time they've shown part of Nagano's run in 7 was during a preview special before Sasuke 12, on a program called Taiiku Oukoku. Even so, it was only a few seconds of it that was shown, when he was timing out at the Soritatsu Kabe.

I remember asking Inui about that and within that year it appeared along with Okuyama's cut run. I'm thinking around 30-31 but can't remember for certain. I'm thinking Navi as well.

Challenge just showed Takeda and Yamamoto's digested runs from 32 in full. Where there any more cut runs?
