Welcome to the SASUKE Guessing Game XV Awards Ceremony! I appreciate that you all showed up to my black-tie function on such short notice. Sorry that Kristine was so robotic on the red carpet. Allison was booked.
So let's recap this epic competition. Despite a number of you guessing 20+ First Stage clears, we ended up with only 8. So glad I chose this tournament to start giving more points away for clears. A number of you did score off of 5 Second Stage clears, and it seemed pretty obvious that we'd get a Third Stage clear and no kanzenseihas, so that was a free 40 points. Well over half picked Yusuke Morimoto as Golden Competitor for another easy 20 points. I might have to do something about that next time. By the way, over half of the competitors were in play, and with the new stage scoring I believe we set some Guessing Game records this time around!
To the stats! A perfect score would've yielded 670 points, and to your credit, a few of you The mean score was 286.0625 and the median was 283.5. Combined, we were off by 6417 obstacles/clears. Just to show you how bloated this year's scores were as compared to last year's, DonalM won last year's competition with 256 points, which would have been good for 28th. Only one competitor (Hiroshige Yamamoto) necessitated the 1-point rule, which to my amazement affected 4 placements.
FULL RESULTS SPREADSHEET for those of you who want to check my work.
That concludes the SASUKE Guessing Game XV, and as a result the SASUKE 35 season. As a fun bonus, after the "director's cut" is released on Paravi, I'm going to add the new results back in to see who would have won if everyone was shown. While these will be strictly unofficial and won't affect these final results, it'll be fun to see how much the scores change. I wish all of you a happy Easter/Mother's Day/Memorial Day/Father's Day/Independence Day/Labor Day, and I'll see you all for SASUKE Guessing Game XVI: How To Train Your Dragon Glider!

{In 32nd place...}...with 184 points is gt4dom! Congratulations, you came in last in back-to-back years! While you failed to put up the spectacular failure of last year, you, uh, did forget to put stage clears. More realistically, your last-place finish can be chalked up to you believing over half the field would time up at the Soritatsu Kabe.
{In 31st place...}...with 209 points is uxinator! While I appreciate your help in finding spoiled competitors (and apologizing for what ended up being Matsuda's correct result), you had way more faith in the competitors than you should have.
{In 30th place...}...with 234 points is 2D2Will! To quote yourself, "I have no idea what I'm doing." To your credit, though, you were the only person to score on Shunsuke Nagasaki (a whopping 2 points).
{In 29th place...}...with 246 points is makoto! You predicted 16 2nd Stage clears with the caveat "I know that's a lot". It was.
{In 28th place...}...with 252 points is GlobalNinjaFan! While you were really accurate on #98-100, you had a lot of faith in quite a few people that didn't get nearly as far as you thought.
{In 27th place...}...with 255 points is DeAndre! I'm not mad; rather, I'm glad you gave it a go! PS, in the future please remember to fill in your Golden Competitor. I filled it in as Ryo, which was incredibly brave of you given his recent performance, but it was all for naught anyway.
{In 26th place...}...with 270 points and a differential of 290 is sasukebeast! Between #61 and #73, you had 8 people clearing. None did. Yikes.
{In 25th place...}...with 270 points and a differential of 188 is kianmike! Picking Tsukasa Fujimoto, a SASUKE rookie, to get the second furthest of any female in SASUKE history is bold, to say the least.
{In 24th place...}...with 272 points and a differential of 218 is sasukefan2343! 25/12/0/0. Eek. Also, one space after the colon, please.
{In 23rd place...}...with 272 points and a differential of 194 is christianpandayt! I had a good giggle at your introductory text: "No shot that anyone will be pasting the Vertical Limit Kai (Even if there is a rest platform). NVM the trailer spoiled a VLK clear." Side note: Thankfully none of your "dark horses" were shown.
{In 22nd place...}...with 273 points is Zach Smith! No, you cannot put zero for a competitor. Doing so for someone who got to the end of the 2nd Stage is especially foolish.
{In 21st place...}...with 277 points is DacTracked! Amazingly, you got #97-100 right. The rest... not so much.
{In 20th place...}...with 278 points is chackpop! Your last three posts on SMF are Guessing Game entries. I would say that if you stuck around more you might have done better, but you did better than several forum regulars, so I can't talk too much.
{In 19th place...}...with 279 points and a differential of 172 is SasukeForever! As fun as it would have been to see a New Japan belt-holder in the 2nd Stage... yeah, no.
{In 18th place...}...with 279 points and a differential of 147 is Wiin! I'm not sure how this happened, but you ended up with the third-lowest differential (behind first and second place overall). Just another interesting anomaly.
{In 17th place...}...with 282 points is mizaruhaku! By letter of the law, I should have disqualified you as you edited your answer 23 seconds after the deadline, but I didn't have it in me. A warning to all: I will not be so forgiving next time. Be careful!
{In 16th place...}...with 285 points is lightningmatt! Yeet.
{In 15th place...}...with 287 points is Shigetora (Cookiezi)! In trying to figure out why you guessed Takashiro Kouno would be in the 2nd Stage, I googled "Takashiro Kouno" and wound up with GlobalNinjaFan's entry in a Pastebin and a site that led to an Error 522 (and probably gave my computer a virus). I guess that gives me an excuse to post this:
{In 14th place...}...with 288 points is Sitthideth Keophothong
! I checked and you had 70 people failing the Fishbone. That would have made for an interesting tournament to say the least.

{In 13th place...}...with 296 points is LusitaniaAngel313! You went with the wrong obstacle in your toss-up, as it turns out, so technically you had too much faith in Shingo. Oh well. We'll always have this:
{In 12th place...}...with 297 points is matt723894! For a last-minute entry, you did fantastic, although you did leave Hiroshige Yamamoto and Hitoshi Kanno blank.
{In 11th place...}...with 300 points and a differential of 183 is UnrealCanine! 11:59 PM Eastern, not UK time.
{In 10th place...}...with 300 points and a differential of 171 is wrestlingfan55! You didn't recognize 87% of the competitors' names, nor did you recognize the fact that your entry was on time, which makes your top-10 finish all the more impressive.
{In 9th place...}...with 302 points is tunv101! I'm pretty sure you're the only person who put Pete Forbes in the 2nd Stage. Suffice to say, that did not happen, although that would have been interesting.
{In 8th place...}...with 313 points is Mk.20SSR! A lot of people had Minami Ono in the 2nd Stage for some reason. You had him failing the Rolling Hill, which was correct. Well done!
{In 7th place...}...with 319 points is thatoneuser! I can't confirm this, but I want to say this is the best I've ever done. This is at least the best in several years as I've done miserably the last few years.
{In 6th place...}...with 326 points is Role Playing Garchomp! Again with the Pete Forbes! What is it about this guy? Admittedly I was surprised by how many points you scored given you had a whopping 21 1st Stage clears, but you guessed a number of key people very accurately.
{In 5th place...}...with 331 points and a differential of 158 is SRW! Thanks for popping by again, Steven. You made some incredibly bold predictions, namely Ryosuke Yamamoto clearing the 1st Stage and Ryoichi Tsukada clearing the 2nd Stage, which didn't hurt you too much.
{In 4th place...}...with 331 points and a differential of 153 is lhii789! This was an incredibly close battle and was actually decided by a one-point score on Hiroshige Yamamoto. You may have been the only person not to pick Drew Drechsel in the 3rd Stage. I wonder how he feels about you picking Takuya Kozuka to do better than him.
{In 3rd place...}...with 337 points is DonalM! We are now guaranteed a new champion, but not before we're reminded of DonalM's recent dominance.
{In 2nd place...}...with 345 points is sasukefinnja! Despite predicting a kanzenseiha, you did remarkably well on everyone else and improved off your impressive 8th place last time.
{And the WINNER of the SASUKE Guessing Game XV...}...with 368 points is Klorel439!
Amazingly, despite whiffing on the 1st and 2nd Stage clears, you racked up a lot of 10s on 1st Stage fails, particularly at the Dragon Glider. You also nailed #97-100 and were just 1 off on #96. Moreover, this is a huge improvement from your 25th place last time! Congratulations to our new champion!
