Thought I'd make this just cuz. This is kinda just like a review/reflect thread for after the tournament. Obviously, there will be spoilers, so if you didn't see it, I suggest you don't read it.

PROS -Final stage -Fast paced first stage -Fails were spread out -Shingo Derpimoto -Double Dragon Dipper Glider(I don't care what it's called lol) -Less FFs -3rd stage changes -Stage 2 lighting and mat colors -editing (IMO) -Darvish failing -Bloodbath -Warped Wall paint job
CONS -Darvish didn't fail the first jump of stage 1 -Counting the Salmon Ladders as 2 different obstacles -Counting the Spider Walk and Spider Drop as separate obs -Repetitive commercials (I'm aware it was out of their control, just a nitpick) -Stage 2 time limit -Darvish competing
So overall I'd give this tourney...a 6/10

PROS - Stage 4 attempt, but not pass (I'd personally have felt let down if Stage 4 had a 100% success rate) - Even if it was only because of an overly generous timer, Tomohiro Kawaguchi's epic Stage 2 recovery - Stage 1 bloodbath (it made it pretty suspenseful in terms of who would make it through) - Fewer FF's - Dragon Glider as a competitor wrecker - Tight Stage 1 time limit - THEY SHOWED A SHUNSUKE NAGASAKI RUN! - Drew beast-moding stages 1 and 2, as well as Planet Bridge - Takeda going out in style - Planet Bridge is an awesome obstacle - You no longer need to be a cyborg to pass stage 3 - Tomohiro Kawaguchi beating the UCH
Cons - WAY too generous on the stage 2 time - Shingo Derp - Sad end to Takahashi Kenji's Sasuke career - Takeda Derp - Urushihara choking on the WW - Shunsuke Derp - Hitoshi Kanno jobber - Nagano protege failing stage 1 - Too big of a time-slot for the results=way too long stage 1=me somewhat checked out by stage 2 - Darvish, it's night-time. Take off the sunglasses.

PROS 1. Stage 1 was RUTHLESS 2. I actually liked the heartbreaking/shocking Stage 1 runs. Added more drama (Yuuji, Kanno, Ryo, Takeda, Kong). I especially felt bad for those 5 3. Hioki made Stages 1 and 2 look EASY 4. Drew beasting through the Planet Bridge 5. Tomo's stage 2 run was easily the best part of the night 6. The commercials (sometimes annoying, sometimes cut before something suspenseful like Tomo's run, adding suspense and drama) 7. Final Stage attempt, duh! 8. Shingo derp 9. Stage 3 is still hard to beat, but no longer impossible 10. Stage 1 time limit 11. The Tackle tired people out even more this time
CONS 1. Rip Kong 2. Stage 2 time limit (but it gave us Tomo's run so idc) 3. 2 SPIDER DROP FAILS!?!?!? 4. Rip Black Tigers 5. Commercials (other times it was just unnecessary)
Overall, this was one of my favorite tournaments in a long time. We didn't have to see the combo kill everyone again. The clear rates were reasonable. The Final Stage attempt was awesome. Yusuke is a beast. Stage 1 genuinely had me shocked from Kanno's run on forward. I wasn't sure what to think after that. Then Shunsuke fell on the Spider Drop and Tomo almost lost??? Great tournament, and now it's a matter of time before we get another Kanzenseiha.

PROS -Good job Masashi Hioki -Nagano, Takeda, AND SHINGO remaining to watch Yusuke. -Toshihiro... never change. -Shingo seemingly being very active even after his run -Ryo... at least he got passed the Dragon glider. -Yamada being more active than me even when he's crippled. -Dragon Glider. It's amazing... XD -Oh yeah there was a final stage! -Tomo's near scare but he's fine! CONS -despite Shingo being around he did fail the fishbone... Ninja Machine predicted this so many times... I wish they were wrong... -what Shingo said AFTER his run... it's foreboding... -Even in retirement Kong and the course don't mix. Or TBS. -Yuuji's upsetting fail. -Hioki went orbital Eh... 6/10. Kenji and Shingo did not help in this matter...

What's up with the Darvish hate? By all accounts, he's a legitimately nice guy that actually trains for Sasuke. He's really popular in Japan and doesn't need to resort to appearing on a show like Sasuke, yet he does it every time. The competitors like him, he's good for ratings, and he did better than almost everyone in the tournament. If he was someone who didn't care about the sport or constantly lost early on stage 1, that'd be different, but he consistently puts in decent performances.

Anyone know why Jessie Graff didn't get invited back? She did unbelievably well in Sasuke 34, and I was surprised to not see her this time around.

Inui hates foreign competitors. Only Drew was returned along with Pete Forbes who lived in Japan
