Sorry I am late to the party. I am very surprised they didn't invite Yosua from Indonesia to Sasuke 35, he was one of the competitors I wanted in this.

I almost didn’t recognize Ryo because of his hair. I can’t read Shingo surprisingly. I guess that’s his look of confusion.

Can anyone tell me why Hioki is only #60??? They like to throw him in the deep end on the later stages. They want him to be the first to clear and so they give him a lower number to try make this happen. However, he is the unlucky bastard who needs to take on the second and third stage first as well without seeing other competitors techniques and all that.

Can anyone tell me why Hioki is only #60??? Pacing. Unlike other shows, Sasuke numbers people for different reasons. In this case they have relied on a competitor to have a clear early on. For the show's sake they usually have no names in the beginning (except for #1 since that is sometimes held in high regard putting a celeb there) and somewhere in the 30's they want a clear. Hioki has occupied that spot for a few years now. He's now being bumped up to 50 leaving that early clear spot to someone else. TBH it was telling how much confidence they had in Hioki to guarantee a clear early on for the pacing of the show. Other markers are there every 10 or so until the last 90. It's been that way for a couple decades. It's just non-Sasuke watchers are not accustomed to how they number things and immediately think that a low number is a sign of disrespect. It's a lot of pressure to be that low and know that TBS is relying on you to carry the early part of the show. He takes it as a huge honor. Now being 50 it's easing up a little on the pressure hoping others before him clear.

On his Youtube page, Yuuji uploaded video, where he trained with Ryo, Hioki, Mori and Shingo for backstream. He uploaded this video yesterday, but I know that he filmed it before Sasuke, so I hope he finally clear stage two.

Why is Ono Minami, the guy who can't even do the salmon ladder gets #87 yet one of the Black Tigers (Obata) who made it to Stage 3 only gets #62? Someone please explain.
