I didn't watch the whole thing but I think these people are competing (from the bit I watched): Kyan Yutaka Takiguchi Yuta Ugajin Shogo Kanno Hitoshi Yamamoto Hirosheige Nagasaki Shunsuke Suzuki Yusuke Hikaru Johnny's junior dude. Daisuke Matsuda I think Obata Satoshi Yamamoto Shingo Drew Drechsel Tatsuhide K. or whatever his name is. (former weight lifting) Darvish Kenji Kawaguchi Tomohiro Ragivaru Anastase?? Takasu Seiki KAREN Urushihara Yuuji Tsukada Ryoichi Yamamoto Keitaro And heaps more but those are the main guys I caught from the bit I watched. Omg, Yusuke is not also competing? Well this Sasuke is a farce for me already Nah, these are just the guys who I saw on the Niconico broadcast from the 90 odd minutes I watched. I am pretty sure Yusuke will be competing.

I’m glad that Kanno is back but no word on Asa or Shinya? I didn't hear about either of them in the broadcast, like I said, I only watched part of it. I am hoping they are back though.

well yeah read that from translate also but wondering how will he do on SASUKE, because never heard that name I don't think anyone here knows, he's probably someone who is stationed in Japan rather than an established NW competitor of any kind.

I hope Yamada recovers for Sasuke 36.If he can beat the TIE fighter which is pretty easy after a first try and has enough energy for the Warped wall,he should have a shot at the second stage.

Well.... Maybe that's just my own Jessie hype translating into a hope that she was well received in Japan Exactly.. Jessie represented everything that is lacking in Japan.. so let's say while they like her personally she just put a mirror on the rest of the Japanese including the men. There's no hype also for something that almost no one watched less you forget that the ratings were actually worse than before. No one cares anymore. Its a bit extreme saying she represented everything lacking in Japan.

There's no hype also for something that almost no one watched less you forget that the ratings were actually worse than before. No one cares anymore. Its a bit extreme saying she represented everything lacking in Japan. Is it? The talent pool of capable Japanese women is what, 10-15 strong right now? That's probably me being generous, too. And not only has Sasuke not featured many of them since Kunoichi's revival, there's barely seems to be any women competing this year. Jessie comes along, doesn't get the adjusted course and clears Stage 1 faster than half the clears in 34; Shunsuke, Yuuji, Takeda and Yusuke included in that. Yes, she had the 10 second boost but while she only is faster than one person in that regard if you take out 10 seconds from her finish time, she still clears with 4 seconds left. Takeda and Yusuke were under ten seconds themselves. Then she does better than Yuuji, Shunsuke, Takeda and Kong in Stage 2? People were floored just from her being tall/flexible enough to wrap her legs around the Sidewinder pillars. And to top it all off, she did better than another two men in Stage 3 and is among the top 10 that tournament. Never mind she's the only woman to clear a stage in the Warped Wall era, the only other woman who had cleared the wall and still had the time to attempt another obstacle? Kacy. And that was the one time around here at least people were willing to give her credit on anything claiming she was the "only" woman to clear the wall at that point. If Kacy unknowingly pulled back the veil, Jessie burst the bubble entirely. There's a reason why when someone asked if Jessie should appear in Kunoichi 11, a lot of us said no. It wouldn't even be a contest. Even after Kunoichi had a champion not Miyake, they didn't get past the Half-Pipe Attack. And then we can add Luci to that threshold because she was the first woman to period. And that's not a knock on the women, if anything we should criticize the culture that took nearly ten years to say "hey, maybe we should rebuild the women talent pool to be capable competitors" again. And making it more similar to Sasuke is a big plus, because despite my love for the original Kunoichi and the focus on balance for most of their obstacles, that focus also put them in a hole because what Kunoichi asked for and what Sasuke asked for were two completely different things. And even the current Kunoichi isn't perfect, because while it's cool to see an obstacle like the Cliffhanger, it's a fairly basic one. I'm not saying we need the CCH, but we know women are capable of doing more than what we got for the show. BTW, that's Ayano Oshima, who got to the Wall in 31, cleared Red Stage in K9 but failed Double Pendulum in K10...and I didn't see her name in 35's competitor list. And don't get me started on the Pipe Hold. The competitor pool as a whole between Japan and the US favors the US by a disproportionate amount. That is magnified times ten if you are only comparing the women. Jessie's impressive (understatement) run in 34? If that didn't create a red flag that meant "we are not as good as we once were," nothing will.

Id say the Japanese are more bitter it was a foreigner who got that far into stage 3.If it was a Japanese women it would probably would have been seen better to tell the truth. One thing I noticed was that the lowest point of the show(sasuke 25-26) were all tournaments when foreign competitors did better than native Japanese.I'm glad thy limited the amount of americans on the course to 2 rather 10 because it is a Japanese tv show made for Japanese people plus the US has the Vegas course.
