Firstly, I've added a poll for you to simply give your favorite of the six.
Then I'd like to see lists of how you rank each regional. You're more than welcome to put reasons/explanations!
I'll go first.
My favorite is Daytona. First, it's special to me because I was there. But aside from that, the competitor field and results are a huge reason I liked this one. Also, a decent obstacle selection (Wingnuts, Rolling Thunder, Giant Cubes, Circuit Board). Would've liked it if they kept the barrel-riding obstacle for Qualifying then they swapped to the Rolling Pin for Finals.
Second favorite would have to be San Antonio. Another difficult course here but think it was a good one. Although Qualifying had only one totally new obstacle, seeing the Spin Bridge return after a few years and the Tic Toc's comeback, I really enjoyed it. Editing in Qualifying was surprisingly cool and for Finals we got a good obstacle (but stupid name) in Spinball Wizard. Didn't like the Hourglass Drop 2.0 as much this time, but still cool seeing Stillings skip the second board!
Third would probably be Kansas City. Had the Finals been better, the rank would possibly be second or first. The only region with two fan-created obstacles and possibly my favorite regional overall for creative obstacles (shows how intuitive some of the people paid to design courses are I do think, though, that since Crank It Up and Broken Pipes were so difficult, they should've put them in separate regions (maybe put Broken Pipes in Cleveland, Razor's Edge in Kansas City) to even it out. Shame for no finishers and not many people reaching Iron Maiden but at least we got a funny kncokout out of it
Cleveland is probably my fourth. Qualifying was too easy, and didn't have my favorite obstacles. Was strange seeing the Ring Jump being the huge killer this time, and the I-Beam Gap not being too intimidating. And in Finals the Nail Clipper was waaaaay too hard (even though I suggested that exact concept ) and knocked out too many people. Then after that, The Clacker got no time in the sun and both who made it to that point cleared. And starting mid-run for both clearing competitors wasn't satisfying. The region was pretty loaded, but felt like it was missing a memorable obstacle course-wise.
Los Angeles was a bit of a letdown. Not too many agree with me, but both episodes were very meh IMO. Qualifying was almost too straight-forward and quick (Battering Ram was the only thing really testing endurance). The modified Block Run was a nice thought but still didn't do much damage. Nothing had "wow" factor on the course, take the Block Run and how close the blocks were to the water. The course felt very close to the water. The four Finals clears made a nice change, but it's a shame this region wasn't somewhere between Kansas City and Denver to give us a break from the extremely tough courses. The Swinging Pegboard was decent and the Stair Hopper was made too easy now.
Denver was probably my least favorite. The Qualifying episode was certainly the worse of the two and the course felt insanely lacking. Felt sort of similar to Pittsburgh last year (had Paddle Boards, a mesh-trampoline and a really hard fifth obstacle). Completing the Rail Runner is a great achievement but not too entertaining to watch. The Wedge and the Rail Runner are too similar for identical regions. I liked how simple yet tough the Ninjago Roll was but was ruined by the theming and the bars going across the track. Speaking of ruining, they completely eliminated my entertainment by the Ring Swing and Paddle Boards.
Overall, could've been a better year but it was fine I guess.
