Could be, but remember that they added extra steps on the Floating Tiles and had the Pole Grasper with shorter gaps between the poles so it could've just been one of those modifications. I'm sure it led them to that decision anyway. The new format sounds exciting; can't wait to see what that'll include. Hopefully better rules than before

Hard to imagine the scoring changing too much. The way it's set up now, every heat can still matter to the outcome. That's more important to the network than making a "fair" system.
I'd love to be wrong though.

Not all heats really mattered. The opening ones had hardly any effect and were more of a warm-up than anything.

Not all heats really mattered. The opening ones had hardly any effect and were more of a warm-up than anything. ANW competitors tend to be cautious and slow the first time they encounter a new obstacle on the main course, and a little tentative on their first try of a Team Ninja Warrior obstacle. One often unstated benefit the current setup has is that by the time they're running elimination races, they've already run the course once. Having had that chance to familiarize themselves with the obstacles, they're probably able to be more confident in going all-out.

Zhanique Lovett is on a team (just not sure which one). Lab Rats are back this year (seems like Chris Wilczewski's injury has healed up).

On the description, it says "team with cumulative top times will advance to the finals and win a cash prize." I'm not sure what it means by cumulative times, could that be new? Also I'm not sure if there was a cash prize before as well.

Also I'm not sure if there was a cash prize before as well. As per my sources, the grand prize for winning Team Ninja Warrior (at least for seasons 1 & 2),is $3K ($1K for every team member). Also,I believe that’s been on the site since 2015,so it’s probably gonna be the same format as seasons 1 & 2.

If my memory serves me well, I remember hearing Noah Kaufman (Ninja Doc) revealed the cash prize of TNW Season 1 a long time ago. To be specific, each team winning their qualifying round will receive $2500 for each member, and the ultimate winning team member will receive another $5000. So for season 1, each member of Party time would go home with $7500.

Real Life Beasts is no more.
Beasts from the East: James McGrath, Erica Cook, and Dave Cavanaugh.
No word yet on Drew. Maybe sitting out?
