Great night on TV for Jessie and somewhat Chris. Do you think Jessie will cut Chris from the team if there is a next year? Right now we aren't even sure there will be another season if USA has moved it already and the ratings are significantly lower than before. I know . It's a significant bummer, I thought this was the best of the 3 1/2 seasons. The last five episodes were fantastic.

Yeah. I'm hearing that too from the fans who still watch this show.. I just think they screwed up on stretching the hell out of this series and changing the name to the dumbest thing ever. Still higher than G4 and Esquire Days but half of what it was last year is startling. This is also permeating to the main series. ANW is too saturated and may need to prune the dead weight and focus on it's core series.

My honest theory is that this is getting scrapped and ANW Junior will take its place.

This was the best season so far in terms of format and production. While the numbers are down, that's not the best way to compare a show season to season especially when timeslots or lead-ins change. Before the day change it averaged 632k viewers with no major lead-in. After the day change it averaged 762k viewers with WWE's average 2800k viewers at 10PM. That's only a 28% net viewer retention rate. Last season saw an average of 961k viewers with WWE's average 2378k viewers at 9PM making the retention rate 40%. Due to time differences, none of these numbers can't meaningfully be compared directly.
While no matter which way you look at it, it didn't perform as well as last season, I think it performed well enough to be renewed. It has a very low production cost and still has millions of potentially interested ANW viewers who just don't know about the show due to poor marketing outside the USA Network.
At the end of the day it all depends on whether this show can make NBC/USA more money than some other show.

At the end of the day it all depends on whether this show can make NBC/USA more money than some other show. Exactly. As I've mentioned many times, ratings are not a measure of how good a show is but a measure of how many are watching. Ultimately USA will figure out if it's worth their time to put something in a time slot that will make them money. So far this season they were not happy with it's original time slot and moved it. Time will tell if it was just a way to run out the season since they already paid for it (and it is a completed product) or if they will just pay for the cheaper show that still rates week to week even if it was not the stellar numbers from the year before.

Okay so I did feel that this was a better season then the other ones. However I do have a few things I would like to see them change back.
1. Go back to daytime, why NBC must you do night all the damn time.
2 is just a format change as far as how teams get eliminated.
The current format is flawed. In this format it does not come close to finding the best team just the team who happens to be able to beat everyone in their roster. For example. If you have a group of 4 teams.
If say team A can only beat B and C, then if they play team B and Team C beats Team D they win that group. If Team D can beat team A and B but only Plays C then they go out, but If they play A or B and C wins then they win the group. You can keep going on and the situation can be the same.
The way you fix this is 1. Have the "finals" consist of 32 teams instead of 36 (Just have maybe a time trial with say 50 (I for each state) and the top 32 qualify) Have the teams split up into 4 brackets. Tier 1-4 Top based on times. 1 from each tier is put together in a group.
The 4 teams face every team in their group. 1 point is rewarded for an individual race win and 1 point for the over all win. At the end of each teams 3 races, the top 2 move on to the knock out rounds
The matches are done by the Top performer vs the Worst performer then 2nd for each and so on.
The group stage is the 6 obstacles and the Knockout is the 9 obstacles.
What do you think.

Well I was at the taping of the finale of Ninja vs Ninja and it was awesome seeing it live. When I got to the set and saw the wingnuts I was like "They put the effing wingnuts in this?". I was also amazed seeing the teams that got in the Final 4. What was interesting to me is that when it was the final relay, most of us we watching on the monitor to see what was going on, and when the camera pan to Labreck she had her hands over her mouth and looking downwards cause we all thought Chris propose to her after their win (turns out it wasn't the case). Also Flip wasn't too happy afterwards and felt very disappointed. Overall it was a good finale and glad I went to it.

I loved Ninja Vs Ninja a lot this year. It was a great show to watch with my pops. He really enjoyed it which is touching because my old man doesn't really get that happy anymore. Seeing LaBreckFastClub win was awesome. Jesse Labreck made a statement during this season to all the other women in ninja warrior. Labreck is a total powerhouse and definitely a contender for Last Woman Standing this season. Jon Alexis was on point in the finale too. It was a great finale and made for a great watch with my family.

Do you think Jessie will cut Chris from the team if there is a next year? Party Time as season 1 champions are still a team three seasons later, even though Jake Murray should be a captain by now.
Other unfairly loaded teams, such as Real Life Beasts also didn't change, or were even made stronger (Ronin).
So unless there's an injury, no, nobody will be cut from the champs.

That was mostly a joke based on Jessie's competitive nature. Chris seemed to be the weak link this year. Although she did bring John back this year after his implosion in season two. Most teams have changed over the three years. Party Time replacing Jennifer Tavernier (didn't participate, reason unknown) with Barclay Stocket And Real Life Beasts became Beast from the East when Drew didn't compete. TNT changed up every year as did Iron Grip, Even Storm Team Changed in its two years. If there is a season four do I think LaBreckfast Club will have a new line up, No. But there were a few moments when it looked like Jessie was blasting her teammates with Laser Eyes.

If they make any changes for season 2 (4) then I would cut the show down in size. Apart from that I think the format worked very well this season.
32 teams only and no play offs.
8 episodes in round 1 4 in round 2 2 semi finals 1 final
Actually scrap that... I would make one MAJOR change... Scrap USA vs World, move NvN to NBC and make it international.

Can anyone confirm that there won't be another season? It's almost February, we should've known something by now.
Or does anyone have any inside info? Or has attended a taping? On on-camera-audiences.com I can't see anything.
Thank you

On on-camera-audiences.com I can't see anything. Thank you From what I've heard (my source is Chris Wilczewski, btw), Ninja vs Ninja is dead due to the existence of ANW Junior. I know, it's kinda controversial, but looking at it more in-depth, it honestly made too much sense (at least when you compare it to something like TNW: College Madness).

Thanks. And yes, that's a good source.
However, I'm wondering if this will last forever. Unless they have a long-term contract that requires them to produce Junior for years, it could change again in 2020.

Unless they have a long-term contract that requires them to produce Junior for years, it could change again in 2020. It's possible but unlikely. One of the things working against TNW is how there were too many teams needed for a full season, so they needed to recruit competitors that modern viewers and kids had no idea about (Kasemir, Meiling Huang, David Yarter, Reko Rivera, Hamm, etc.). Plus, with this new angle of 19 year old rookies changing the game, it's likely they want to build off that hype with a Kids show.

ANW JR is far and away the best team ninja comp. I hope that stays for a long time.

ANW JR is far and away the best team ninja comp. I hope that stays for a long time. I also think that the show has a lot of potential, and it has done decently well for its first season. But they need to find some way to keep the course fresh, it gets really stale, especially with the lack of falls.
