This was something that just occurred to me. On Sasuke, there aren't an overwhelming number of foreigners, but there definitely a few that stand out. I'm not just talking about Americans such as Drew Dreschel or, before him, Levi Meeuwenberg. There's the likes of Anaste (aka Wreathman), Lee En Chi (I'm going with that spelling), and going WAY back, the Kosugi brothers and Travis Schraeder.
By comparison, the only foreigner I can think of on Kunoichi is Sara Jean Underwood, who competed in Kunoichi 8, which was such a departure from the standard format that it almost doesn't deserve to be called Kunoichi.
My question is, why does Kunoichi seem so much more resistant to foreigners compared to Sasuke?

Wasnt the whole theme of Kunoichi 6 that there were representatives from different countries? Like they hung the flags from the top of the course and made the course easier because of it. Since the reboot there hasn't been that many people outside of Japan, but I think that's because they still need to make a footprint in Japan before they start expanding. Also, I'm pretty sure Kacy was invited to Kunoichi 9.

Kunoichi has had a handful of foreigners, they just tend to be one and done athletes. Tasha Schwikert, 2000 Sydney Bronze medalist for the U.S. made it to Stage 2 in Kunoichi 3. Oana Ban, 2004 Athens gold medalist for Romania, made it to Stage 2 in Kunoichi 4. Kunoichi 6 had a lineup focused on diversity from a nationality standpoint: 20 different nations were represented, the most notable being Erin Jessica Doherty who was an American who made it to Stage 3.
They've competed, none were just so notable to become regulars, or perhaps scheduling conflicts given they were still in athletic primes and thus still training/competing; Schwikert and Ban were 18 when they competed, to my best knowledge.

I forgot about Kunoichi 6, to be honest. That does undercut my point a bit, doesn't it? :/
Yeah, I think this topic is safe to ignore.

Also, the ANC/ANW era didn't start until 19; Luci didn't compete until 20 and there was two years between Kunoichi 7 (which aired just a couple weeks before 19) and 8 (where Sara Jean was the American representative). Like was mentioned, Kacy was invited to 9 but conflicts prevented that from happening.
