Does SMF have a off-season anymore?

I remember the good old days of 2011-2013 here when all we had was Sasuke and ANW, and including speculation they each occupied roughly 3 months of the year. The rest of the year was known as SMF's offseason. 2011 was dark days especially, because Sasuke was assumed to be permanently cancelled.

Nowadays things have been getting busier worldwide, with leaks and airings of all sorts of shows, cause we have Sasuke (WHICH IS NO LONGER ONLY ONCE A YEAR), the whole ANW ensemble including USA vs the World, Kunoichi, Vietnam, Malaysia, UK, other European spinoffs, Chinese knockoffs.

I would still say Sasuke and ANW have the majority of attention and effort tied to it -- any other show, whether under the 'Ninja Warrior' umbrella or separate shows gets attention around here, but not to the extent of the main ones. I would say SMF has 'down periods' when Sasuke or ANW isn't around but is then supported by all the other shows. But if you aren't looking at those specific boards, it can look like no one's around.

Thing is while not everyone from the forum is, the good majority of members here are based in America, and a good majority joined for Sasuke content, so if it's not happening in America or Japan it won't get the same amount of attention, some of the international spinoffs go completely under the radar or don't get the attention, do we see weekly discussion threads of every episode of Ninja Warrior France or something? No you don't. So yes there is still down time, it just doesn't feel like that this year since we have some oversaturation going on in America and we're back to multiple tournaments in Japan this year, we've had Kunoichi, Sasuke, Team Ninja Warrior for 12 weeks, then we had the Celebrity Ninja Warrior special, 2 weeks later last year's USA vs The World, and then the main season of ANW started, another Kunoichi, and we're still not through qualifying in ANW, so yeah it artificially doesn't feel like there's an off season since there's so much going on this year in the 2 primary countries focused on.

While the majority of people on here only follow the Japanese/American shows (which lately has been a lot of content), it is worth noting that with Australian Ninja Warrior starting Sunday and Sasuke Ninja Warrior Indonesia starting next Saturday there will be 6 spin-offs airing each week. If none of the current shows finish by August 12th, there will be 7 a week when Ninja Warrior Germany comes back for its second season.

Sorry but as I’m not a member since 2011 so idk how dark it was. (Fact about me: didn’t know about SSK/ANW until 2011 and SMF until 2016)
And we had off-season, which is pretty short now.
