There is a long standing tradition during the start of the ANW season that region threads are episode/show discussion threads once the region airs. While it is greatly appreciated when people mark their spoilers, it is to be understood people are going to discuss the episode in their respective thread. As long as that discussion is in the proper spot, there is no actual rule breaking involved. Willingly entering a thread past a certain point during the night of broadcast is on you.
Pre-show discussion is one thing, as not everyone desires to know something before air. During the broadcast is another. That is 'buyer beware'. Obviously, making threads explicitly stating something happening in the subject title is always prohibited.

I assume this still applies to west coast viewers if the episode has aired on the east coast but not yet on the west coast. I.e. if you live on the west coast and don't want to get spoiled, just avoid the thread altogether that entire day (same thing I do for other shows).

It applies to anyone, anywhere - regardless of timezone or show.
It could happen to (and has) happened to Sasuke, Kunoichi, Sportsman, Sports Danshi, etc. Any show that we've covered or at least had a thread on, is subject to this rule & overall situation.
