OMG MY OBSTACLE WAS USED!!! THE CANNONBALL SLIDER!! ITS CONFIRMED! Wait, if that was your obstacle, then were you there at the tapings? If not, then what was that prize if your obstacle was shown in the contest.

Just because something resembling your obstacle was used doesn't mean they didn't independently come up with the same idea.

SELECTION OF WINNER: On or about October 1, 2016, one (1) or more qualified judges selected by Sponsors ("Judges") will review all eligible Entries received during the Contest Period and select five (5) potential winners ("Winners", each a "Winner") based on the following judging criteria ("Judging Criteria"): Originality (33%), Creativity (33%) and Practicality of Design (34%). The selection and review process may occur on a rolling basis as Entries are received. In the event of a tie, the Judges will break the tie by selecting the tied entrant who received the highest points from the Judges for Originality. In the event a tie still remains, Judges will select Winner in their sole discretion. Sponsors reserve the right to extend the Contest Entry Period if the Contest does not receive a sufficient number of eligible and qualified Entries, as determined by Sponsors in their sole discretion. Winner will be required as a condition of continued eligibility to sign an Affidavit of Eligibility, Waiver of Liability, and, except where prohibited, Publicity Release (collectively, "Contest Documents") within three (3) days of such notification. Noncompliance within this time period will result in disqualification. If the potential Winner cannot be reached or if it is found ineligible, if it cannot or does not comply with the foregoing requirements and these Official Rules, if its prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, or if it does not satisfactorily execute all of the Contest Documents, potential Winner will be disqualified and Sponsors will award the Prize (defined below) to the runner-up.
PRIZE: There will be one (1) prize awarded ("Prize") awarded to Winner. Prize will consist of the chance to have entrant’s design incorporated into an American Ninja Warrior obstacle and a trip to an American Ninja Warrior set ("Trip"). Trip will include: roundtrip airfare from a major commercial airport nearest Winner’s residence to a major commercial airport near an American Ninja Warrior set, as determined by Sponsors in their sole discretion, for Winner and three (3) guests ("Guests", each a Guest"), a visit and tour of the set ("Set Visit"), and two (2) night hotel accommodations in a single room/quad occupancy.

That's a preview of the Celebrity Ninja Warrior special that's airing next week as a part of Red Nose Day. Each celeb has a coach, they attempt the obstacles one by one with their coach beside them to give advice/support. That's not specific to Kacy, every coach is going to end up like that.

Just because something resembling your obstacle was used doesn't mean they didn't independently come up with the same idea. Especially considering ATS has already used this idea many times on the international spinoffs before the contest even opened Also didn't someone already confirm the Wing Nuts were the winning submission and they put it in Dayyyytooooonaaaaaaaa

Ok, so they said 6 designs this season were "inspired by" submissions. I have talked to people who were never contacted whose exact obstacle was used (not cannonball slider, something else). This person was never even let know his was used, and they even used the name of the obstacle he came up with. I believe from what I heard they only contacted two or three people who were in their eyes the top designs, and then they chose one to fly out and watch the taping. So, 6 designs used, only one notified.

Some could make an argument about morality but that's just being nitpicky about s***

The rules also stated only one person would receive the prize. There also was likely a statement of some sort in the rules stating that by agreeing to submit a design you waive rights even if you don't win which totally makes seeing someone's design and modifying it fair game. That's a preview of the Celebrity Ninja Warrior special that's airing next week as a part of Red Nose Day. Each celeb has a coach, they attempt the obstacles one by one with their coach beside them to give advice/support. That's not specific to Kacy, every coach is going to end up like that. Cheers, that clears things up a bit. Although in a similar vein, why is Kacy a coach when there are several superior female athletes to tick the coach diversity box? NBC you fools... It's been said before: she's the most well-known competitor ANW has for the women, and arguably overall. She's always gonna be among the first called. She's also not the only female coach; Natalie, Jessie (Graff) and Meagan are also coaching. The most well-known competitor is coaching the celebrity who has expressed the most interesting in competing in ANW, he's just never had a chance to be on the course until now -- that's just marketing sense. I know the anti-Kacy meme is popular here, and she's done enough on her own to not have the best positive opinion of her as a person, but the list of celebs/coaches has been public for a while now, it's even on the previous page. Not everything ANW does with Kacy/the women in general is this nefarious plot.

Yeah, I believe from what I have gleaned there is one obstacle in LA, one in Daytona, two in Kansas City, one in Cleveland, and I'm assuming the 6th will be in Denver.

If the one of the two in KC happen to be the fourth obstacle, they did a great job.
