I really only see KUNOICHI for what it is. Pretty faces getting massive promotion. IMO, it's not really anywhere near SASUKE, though at this point with the way SASUKE's being run I'm not as hyped for tourneys as I once was. I really only watch anymore for the competitors. KUNOICHI is more or less the same. I think one thing that keeps it down is that most of the obstacles are dumbed down SASUKE obstacles.

I think mentions of "dumbed down" obstacles are ignoring the fact the Japanese women's competitor scene is very sparse and for the longest time was virtually nonexistent. They are no where close to the level of the best women in ANW. Never mind that you have an obstacle like the Fish Bone, which is difficult regardless of who is on it. Including Sasuke obstacles is actually an attempt to take it more seriously and inspire more serious training.
