Holy cow! It actually happened! We're getting exactly 100 ninjas in Vegas! I'm so happy! One of the few good things about the Top 5 Women rule

Ugh I feel so bad for Sam Sann. Not even failing because you fell in the water. Just the dang DQ. I'd probably do that honestly but still... he's so strong... considering everything. Also GO GO LORIN! I'm so proud of him!

I'm so proud of him! to be fair, he would have fallen in the water if he didn't get dq'd because he basically saved himself there, but it really does suck to get eliminated that way.

Not to crap over the 100 hype.. but if no one has saddlecloths in Vegas the the number is pointless.

I wish he'd have fallen tbh. More dignity to fall in the water than course out...

If Meagan didn't do a cartwheel on top of the Warped Wall, she would've bumped the 15th place person (assuming that is her actual time)

Highs:
• Bart Copeland was absolutely flawless on the Salmon Ladder! • I feel horrible for admitting this, but I love how they just quickly brushed off Kacy’s retirement before the third or fourth commercial break, I actually chuckled a little at how out of the way and forced it seemed. • Didn’t think Lorin Ball would be the first to beat The Wedge! • Didn’t think a walk-on who failed the Floating Steps last year would be the second to beat The Wedge, props to that guy! •So Ian Dory’s now 8 for 8 on city courses, impressive! Lows:
• No mention of Michelle Warnky on Skype during Jeri D'Aurelio and Meagan Martin’s runs? • I guess Brian Arnold’s allergic to The Wedge. • The runway for the Warped Wall looked really small.... • Sam Sann and Michael Stanger, nooooo! •The Rail Runner needs to have larger landing pad next time, a bunch of people almost overshot it. • WHY DID THEY MID-CUT THE FIRST (and this time the only) FINISHER AGAIN? Other:
• I didn’t think the Ninjago Roll would actually be associated with Ninjago, I thought it was just a dumb name someone came up with… • I swear I heard Akbar say “You just gotta stay woke,” before Brian Arnold started The Wedge. Jessie Count:
0 Kacy Count:
8 Fluff Piece Count:
10 Mid-cut:
• Brian Arnold • Drew Knapp • Ian Dory Digested:
• Karson Voiles • Dan Yager • Sam Sann • Michael Stanger

Not to crap over the 100 hype.. but if no one has saddlecloths in Vegas the the number is pointless. What do you mean by this? I don't understand ): William is still enamored with the 100 people because of the carryover from Sasuke. In Sasuke people's saddlecloths (bib number) all have meaning. Some even frame those suckers and the whole show is built around the notion of the numbers, who gets them, why the number is important, how well they carry that number, etc. ANW never went for that. From its inception they removed the numbers off everyone. ANW1-3 had them implicitly remove them when they went on Sasuke. So when we got to Vegas in ANW4 there was no requirement to have 100 competitors. That was Sasuke's shtick. ANW hasn't suffered either for not having the numbers since they become pointless going into the 2nd stage (where you can actively change your run order depending on your times from the previous stage). So having 100 in there when other seasons didn't doesn't matter since they never focused on how many people were there. Even when they had wildcards they still didn't have 100 and it didn't do jack in the longrun. That's what I mean about pointless. It's an arbitrary amount of qualifiers hearkening back to a show they are no longer a part of or even resemble.

I can't help but think there's a little more to this story. Matt Iseman was so sure they were going to announce Kacy's retirement in the San Antonio finals episode that, in a livestream the weekend before that episode, he said they would be announcing the retirement of one of their biggest competitors ever in San Antonio. So suppose we think about it this way: If indeed Kacy's retirement was in the San Antonio episode but was dropped at the last minute, then the quick mention here in Denver would have made perfect sense. At that point it would be a quick reminder of a known fact. So even though I don't have any inside information, I would have to guess it was an editing error or last-minute cut from the San Antonio episode.

They probably will have alternates. I think those two alternates would be James McGrath and Broc Bebout Not entirely since Dan's injury was right before running times it was too late to get an alternate, or at least according to him. I think James McGrath was at Vegas anyways so they probably use him as an alternate for Dan Galiczynski

So Bart Copeland was the guy who Balance Tank'ed the Rolling Log in Season 7. Also, 29 days is impressive, but I heard Jonathan Sharp Brown spent a month at Daytona. The only real shocker of the night. Another boring episode overall.

I heard that apparently Kacy got sick before her run. So maybe she may not run if the medic team deem her ineligible.

I think the reason why they announced it last night because WWE officially announced her casting a couple of days ago. It would be weird for them to announce her retirement especially when WWE hasn't confirmed anything yet.

Did anyone notice that Matt Isman claimed that Denver was the least cleared qualifier ever? That would be Venice season 7 thank you very much.
