Here are the two sides of the deaf situation:
-Being deaf means that the other senses improve, so you have better vision.
-Being deaf means you can't use rythyms (such as the Salmon Ladder clicking) to you advantage.

-Being deaf means you can't use rythyms (such as the Salmon Ladder clicking) to you advantage. Deaf people can sense vibration in the same way as hearing people do. These vibrations re sent to the same part of the brain the hearing use to interpret sound. The vibration of the bar clicking into place would be transmitted from the hand to the brain for both athletes in the same way.

I've decided, I hate the floating steps. If they can figure out a new dismount at the end I'll like it but that jump from the last step to the rope to the platform is horribly done. How about connect with the next obstacle without any rope or platform?

It certainly helps me anyway (not that I can do the obstacle I used in my example but ) in getting into a rhythm. It's still somewhat of a disadvantage missing part of what improves your rhythm. You can kind of turn it into a song to help? I know I might sound like I'm insane but it helps me anyway

I do that all the time while cycling. Some doggerel gets stuck in my head while pedaling and my body starts following that rhythm.

Losing a sense doesn't just magically make all of your other senses better.

Losing a sense doesn't just magically make all of your other senses better. To a varied extent, it does. If you lost your sight, your brain will rewire itself to take advantage of unused processing power, allowing the remaining senses (specifically things like the auditory cortex or areas handling smell or even memories) to share what has been freed up. Although, people really only ever lose sight or hearing, and not the other senses. Anyway, this isn't just casual bro science like some believe.

It can, I'm just saying it's not a foregone conclusion.
In other news, I don't have a sense of smell. I wish that would improve my eyesight. Rip me.

Odds are they'll get at least some airtime. Cleveland actually got all 33 competitors on TV in some form.

{Spoiler} So assuming there actually are no finishers, how do you all think they are gonna handle the POM run of the night? Are they gonna give it to the one guy who makes it to obstacle 10 (halfway through the episode presumably) and spoil it that no one else will get that far?

NBC has said that this episode will air at 8pm, but the second hour will start at 9:30pm because of the presidential address at 9pm. However, CTV is unaffected by this. What are the spoiler rules for this situation?

What are the spoiler rules for this situation? There are no rules. East-coasters ALWAYS spoil results here before us West-coasters have watched it.

Morgan took a total beating and impressed me with that warped wall scale. What worries me is when Kristine said that he may of went far enough fast enough. Like is she foreshadowing or something or is it just bad editing?

am I the only one pissed that ANW makes their broadcasts so big my TV can't resize it? It keeps saying, it's the right size! You can't change correctness. :3 Oh ANW... Also KC being stacked, I'm just here for Tyler.

When they highlight a woman that only got to the 4th obstacle, you know the ladies aren't going to do well in this Final.
