You can tell by the end state of the rolling pin something went wrong in the original idea and they threw something together with the battering ram assets to throw something together last minute. That thing looks horrible and the way it slides all around. Just.... awful That's exactly what happened. Apparently the original idea was to have a rolling log that you rode down on top of (so just one of the Battering ram things) and you couldn't use your hands. But that was either too easy (they let you hold a rope that also moved down the track) or too dangerous.

To be fair they were from the obstacle design contest, I wouldn't be surprised if someone was inspired by Keita's swinging ledges. Well the wingnuts were actually never designed to swing originally. Their fulcrum was at the center of the ledge/bar, which made it much harder to get distance, and if you hit it on only one side they would spin 360 degrees and throw you off.

They cut Brett Sims again? That sucks. But even with strange digests, my favorite episode of anw9 so far.

Amazingly, Kacy holds the lead! She netted one appearance while Jessie managed 23, which didn't close the gap enough. Will Jessie reappear in the later qualifiers or will the score stand? Right now the score is Kacy 40, Jessie 36.

Jonathan Sharp Brown went to Vegas; is he 15th?
Watch the episode tonight and you'll know #15. My one clue: Wingnuts.
Kevin Carbone is the missing Vegas competitor

Best episode so far despite the fact the Rolling Pin looks super bootleg.

A bit confused when screenshotting the leaderboard, but it said Lindsay got 2:21.13 on Rolling Thunder and there were 2 guys, one 2:28.24 and one 3:29.71. Its more likely they screwed up the leaderboard, seeing they did this with Josh Levin, whether he was actually slower or he was placed wrong, but yeah.

That thing looks horrible and the way it slides all around. Just.... awful I agree it looks awful but I thought the sliding around was something that the ninjas could use. The grips were deliberately place to the far side of the picture to make it slide down the track unevenly. There were a few ninja's who were able to quickly move the holds to the center with their start and make it slide evenly down the track. The Rolling Thunder appeared to be lightly modified from last year's Philiadelphia Finals. The half dividers were in place for every third opening, but it looked like they also cut the vertical distance in half. I don't remember seeing the plexiglass ring at the top pf the opening last year. Not sure it that made much of a difference. No one hit it as far as I can remember.

TBH going down uneven seems like it'd make it easier so it's a few little jolts instead of a couple big ones. And the half dividers were what they did for city finals. As for the plexiglass ring that was likely to prevent people from grabbing the upright spoke portions of the obstacle instead of the wheel part itself
