Well I'm risking my SMF life to talk about this but... If you want, really want to prevent people from accessing MC, then why don't you remove it from the menu, even you placed it in the top. Only the people who was in the SMF long enough would know about it and ask for accessing. You can give the link to directly access without have to worry. (Still keep the password trick) P.s. Plz, I don't want a straight 100% warning to banned permanently P.s.s. And why do I didn't pm this? I want everyone to read this and know the problem

We're not trying to prevent people from accessing the Media Center, we're trying to control who gets access.
In the past, if we banned someone from the boards, and they had access to the Media Center via the password method, all they had to do was register a new account, paste in the URL, enter the password, and bam, they've got access to the Media Center. The new method prevents that from happening. It also prevents the random new accounts that already have that information by people giving it away or posting it publicly elsewhere (despite our requests not to).
The problem isn't that we're locking it down to be a*****es, the problem is the people that don't understand the importance of security or more importantly, discretion, especially on a forum that can be targeted by copyright holders at any moment and shut us down. People only look at "the problem" as "Admins are literally nazis because I can't access the Media Center or the Live Stream," rather than looking at the bigger reasons why we're doing what we're doing.
