It's so awesome that he's back! I wonder how he'd do against all the new obstacles, especially the Tackle if it returns...

YES!!!! So pumped. He's my favorite competitor outside of Nagano, Shingo, and Takeda.
I thought he had some issues with production. And does this mean Wreathman is gone?

There's other foreign competitors that dont just include him and Americans and possibly Sweden. Like, Zhang a Chinese representative although Idk much about him.

Oh well I read something about Lee retiring due to politics and they then chose a new foreign representative (I assumed it was Anastase)

Since taping is only a couple days away, now is as good a time as any to have this up. An important tip to those not familiar with the process: Sasuke over the last few years have provided the full list of 100 competitors to compete some time after taping (usually just taping of Stage 1 since all will have at least ran that). It first comes in the form of a text list of all the names in kanji and katakana. Then suddenly we get actual faces to the names in the forms of pictures (an example would be the player list for Kunoichi 9 on Sunday or the player list from Sasuke 32 -- this is NOT the 33 player list. Treat all information you may see (especially teases of people being in Japan who normally wouldn't be around this time) as speculation unless it comes from an official channel. In other words, wait for the official list to come out. You become a little less disappointed that way.

It sounds like they are cutting down of foreigner competitors in general. At least that's what my super duper secret inside sources said with minor confidence.

A lot of the backlash stemmed from the fact the show, especially the back half of it, was a commercial for ANW, of which popularity in Japan is virtually nonexistent. For the rocky start with him, Anatase is a pretty popular person.

Maybe after the back-lash of the lack of Japanese competitors not being shown in T32. True, and probably the fact that the Japanese competitor who got the furthest, Sato Jun, was infamously triple digested. Like Nagasaki in Sasuke 30 after a return to the 3rd stage after a long time.

Part of retirement is not getting in the middle of stuff but it really bothers me when misinformation is bandied out as fact. Just wait until Saturday when the list comes out. Yes the list of foreigners is shorter by comparison, however that is due to the fact that they had to invite other people for the 20th anniversary - not a purge.
