In the mean time, I've finished the SASUKE 33 prototype and I'm pretty happy with it. There will be some tweaking before the final game is released but it's stable enough to beta test. I'm deciding now whether or not to add more features before a beta release. This begs an important question that should be asked now: Is there anything in particular you'd like to see in the final game? I'm speaking strictly in terms of features rather than specific competitors, courses, etc. I promise that the game will have a giant roster, but for now there will "only" be 100 in the beta release. As for what I'd like to see in the final game,I'd love to see game modes for ANW,Ultimate Beastmaster,Sportsman No. 1,National Ninja League,VIKING,KUNOICHI,the All-Star special, and Wolfpack Ninja Tour.,an online mode (where we can watch each other's tournaments),and a Team Competition game mode (similar to Team Proto SASUKE).I don't know if all of that will come true,I'm just throwing the ideas out there. As for features,as Rider said,I'd really like it if we had the ability to design our own courses, with all of the potential game modes I said above.Of course,as thatoneuser said,we'll have to choose from a pool of obstacles,so our options will be limited, but would still be intriguing nevertheless.I'd also like to have the ability to choose how many people compete in a tournament. As an example, let's say we wanted to run a tournament with 50 people. We could then choose the amount of competitors right then and there.Or maybe on the smaller side,if we wanted to have ten competitors in a tournament. We could then choose that right from the menu. The competitor amounts I'm expecting are:10,12,15,16,20,25,30,40,50,60,75,80,85,90,100,and 125.I might be asking for a bit much, but like I said before,I'm just trying to throw the idea out there. And,the last thing I think I'll want to see from the game,is something that I don't think will happen quite frankly, and that is,*drumroll please*... BIASED RESULTS!!!That's right,I want to see biased results in the final game. How this would work,is when a person is about to run,you could get to choose the results, rather than the game choosing them,by typing in the name of the obstacle,or "clear".Then, the run proceeds as a normal PS run would, but instead you know where they're gonna fail. There would be no good reason for this ability to exist, but how cool would it be if it did? I mean, imagine being able to decide the fate of someone like Chris Wilczewski or Philip, anywhere from them failing the first jump of the First Stage,to achieving kanzenseiha. That,in my mind, would be the absolute funniest feature in the game.
But yeah, that's the stuff in particular that I personally would like to see in the final game.I threw in some wild guesses, some that may or may not be accurate, and it was overall a really fun post to piece together. Can't wait to hear when access to the beta version of the Ninja Machine will be announced.

Just make sure the SMFers that have been in the show before are in the competitor pool. That's all I ask. Also have it so we decide who goes when so we can make our own lineups (in before I put myself before Shingo. XD)

One is that the casual audience won't know who you guys are which isn't much of a detractor. The other, much larger issue is that some of you guys are under 18 and I can't legally use your likeness even with your permission. I'll figure something out about this, at least for those of you over 18 and want to be in the game.

I'm 22 believe it or not so I have no objections to being made into the game. One other thing. I've actually been going to the gym as of late and I feel I'm at least a little stronger than my stats would suggest. Would it be possible later on to add onto stats as I continue to work on myself?

LusitaniaAngel313 yes Closed beta testing will begin this weekend. I'm going to be gradually opening the beta to more people as time goes on so don't get discouraged if you don't get chosen in the first round of beta testers. In fact it's entirely possible the selections will be one at a time. Please don't beg for beta access as this will only lower your chances of being chosen.

well i'm not 18 yet. oh well.
could you add modding, perchance? i would like it if someone could mod me into the game.
and yes, they can do that, i've seen mods of real life sports leagues onto games without licenses to the leagues. like when Jacques Villeneuve was being a jerk to all F1 gamers for a few years.

For those of you wondering why you didn't receive beta invites yet: no one has. I got distracted over the weekend and forgot to send people the game. With any luck the beta process will begin later today.

The people have spoken. Proto SASUKE Z-3 will be on Sunday, August 6.
There will be at least five members of Team SMF. Emily Montague (won a raffle at the Z-2 broadcast) and James Park (went the furthest of the SMF competitors last time) have secured their spots.
If you're not already on the SMF team and would like to be in Z-3, post a screenshot of you playing the Ninja Machine beta in the open beta thread and give me your honest feedback. If you'd like to keep it private, you can send me a PM. If you can't post a screenshot, just post your feedback. I'll pick at least three winners in a manner to be determined within the week.

Wait since when was there a raffle?! I certainly don't remember it... XD But thanks for an excuse to go to the gym for the next 2 weeks!
