I was thinking who I would consider the rookie of the year for each season of ANW. I feel pretty confident of 5-8, but I'm not sure about 1-4. A lot of the best competitors started in ANW 2 or 3. ANW 4: Brian Arnold ( ) cause he made it to stage 2 ANW 5: Joe Moravsky ANW 6: Kevin Bull ANW 7: Tie-Daniel Gil, Nicholas Coolridge ANW 8: Josh Levin The other interesting fact is each of these RoY's had their best year in their second outing and were on Team USA. Makes it interesting to wonder of Josh Levin will do in ANW 9. It's obvious that Josh can clear the current Stage Three, during an exhibition competition. The big question is whether he can do it in the same night he has ti run Stage Two. Stage Three was too much for Sean McColl this year after Stage Two. Their skill sets are similar. although I think Josh does do some obstacle training. I don't think the reason Sean failed Stage 3 was because he ran Stage 2 that night. Honestly, with the time limit and the trickiness of the obstacles, Stage 2 was a harder course in my opinion.

Did Mike Myers do the same thing as Dan Yeager or did time out? They both touched the landing pad at the end of Roulette Row but fell back.

That's basically what I was saying. In a night with a time limited Stage Two then Stage Three, Josh may have trouble with the third stage. Sean ran stage two at his own pace (no time limit) and was stunned that he was tired after doing so, then failed stage three. Josh (and Drew) ran stage three fresh in USA vs. the World and completed it. In the National Finals Drew failed Stage Three after the time limited Stage Two, IMO mostly on his Hang Climb technique. Although there is no evidence Josh doesn't have the stamina to complete both stages in the seam night, I am curious whether her does. Prior to season 8, Sean had completed two and three in the same evening.

It's not a climbing obstacle at all, and since he doesn't train Ninja Warrior, it's not surprising he failed it. Though you're certainly right in that Drew and Josh would've had a much tougher time completing Stage 3 if they had just run Stage 2. I really wish we could see Sean do some ninja training and compete in ANW. If he trained for a few months, he could achieve kanzenseiha on his first attempt.

And somehow on Team Europe. I wish there was a Canadian Ninja Warrior. I see all kinds of possibilities for it, They could do things the way ANW did in the early years sending Ninjas to Sasuke, but in this case send the 10-15 winners to compete in Vegas as part of the Finals event. Or if they wanted their own champion and wanted to save money have their own completion North of the border, but rent the Vegas Course for a coulpe days to have their own finals. Of course they could go all out and with regional competitions and a national finals in Vancouver (because all television is filmed in Vancouver).
