Ninja Warrior style stuff is really popular on Videoland channels in Taiwan. They licensed X Warrior as a regular weekly broadcast with reruns, so it isn't a surprise to me that they'd have interest in Sasuke. It's completely possible Sasuke was picked upto meet fan demand
Great news to hear! I believe Taiwan is the first foreign country to air SASUKE 30 in its entirety, and in its original format.
Also, out of curiosity does anyone know if/why the Taiwanese networks are (as of the past few years) only airing recent SASUKE tourneys, and seemingly only once? I assume JET's contract with TBS/M9 expired a while ago (i.e. around the time when the latter was still around, albeit going into bankruptcy) and that they only have rights to airing the recent stuff in accordance with TBS, but that's just the understanding on my end.

A lot of it has to do with the pricing, it was too expensive to buy the footage for a lot of networks in Taiwan, that's why Golden Sun TV only aired a couple tournaments before Sasuke was dropped again.
That's also a part of the reason a lot of countries bought the G4 edit being the mutilated version was a bit cheaper than the full broadcast (also the fact it was already cut into half hour episodes instead of one 2-4 hour broadcast (Which JET was known to cut into hour long episodes over the course of a couple weeks as surprising as this is to find out when we get the combined rip)
