Nagano not winning doesn't mean the next victory would have to be in 24... The course probably wouldn't have gotten a total renewal for 18, hence a course that reflects 17 more than 18, still leaving room plenty of room for Nagano to win, just one tournament later. Not sure about this either, but I don't think Sasuke would survive until 24 if Nagano never won tbh.

I'm just wondering when the next total victory would be The next total victory (if it wasn't for 17) would probably in the next few tournaments by noone else but Nagano. You can miss out only so many times.

Probably would have been Sasuke 18 or 19 until it happened, and obviously it wouldn't be 18 or 19 as we knew it, course would probably have been similar to 17 (Hell they originally wanted the Circle Slider to be around for like 5 tournaments, then they had to throw out the course ). Also Sasuke Rising not being Monster9 had nothing to do with Nagano winning in 17, they still would be a company taking on too much debt and getting caught trying to cheat their way out of paying it back, If anything we'd be more likely to not have Sasuke Rising at all because it wouldn't have caught on in the west as big as it did, Comcast would think it's not worth the money with G4 doing so bad, we probably wouldn't have ANW. Although that's assuming no one won, however if Nagano didn't win the course would go pretty unchanged from 17 and it'd only be another tournament or two before they do, MAYBE if he got close enough it could initiate some of the obstacles from 18 for a soft-renewal type thing when he almost made it in 12 so they had to overhaul 13's first stage and another overhaul to the 3rd stage in 14

Either Nagano or Shiratori would have won it eventually. I wonder how Koji Yamada would have done if he didn't botch the Metal Spin.

I just realized, this thread should be in General SASUKE, not SASUKE 33. Same goes with this thread.

We should change it to but if he did in Saskue 12. We've covered many times here if he won in 12 many times, the main consensus is we just go to Sasuke 14's course (Stage 1 would have been the same as 13 but I'm talking about the overhauled stage 3 and the Metal Spin debuting Well in that case if stage 3 was redesigned in 19 and it took Nagano 4 tries like 14-17 then it would be doubtful he would win in 22 maybe Well, the course would have been mostly the same as 17, a redesign like 18 would happen BECAUSE of someone winning and at that point it'd probably be Nagano

If anything we'd be more likely to not have Sasuke Rising at all because it wouldn't have caught on in the west as big as it did, Comcast would think it's not worth the money with G4 doing so bad, we probably wouldn't have ANW. That's an interesting point. Pure speculation, but imagine this scenario.. - Nagano doesn't win in 17, and no one wins for the foreseeable future thereafter. - There's probably no major renewals - Interest in Sasuke in the East puckers out once all the All Stars start failing - The West never catches on, at least not the way it did (as you mention) - G4 probably doesn't even pick it up at all - No ANW - All the thousands of lives and stories and relationships and careers and everything ANW-related would have never been realized - You wouldn't have that sweet profile pic - Matt Iseman would probably be calling high school basketball games instead of snorting lines off hookers with Arnold Schwarzenegger - World-wide spinoffs don't ever happen - NNL, UNAA, etc. don't exist - Would this forum exist? - etc. ... all because Nagano misses a cliffhanger ledge or hits a trampoline wrong or something stupid like that. Obviously that's all hypothetical. But Nagano is truly a legend, possibly even more so than anyone even realizes.

Harambe would still be alive.
Seriously though, it's really hard to know. Nobody ever came quite as close to winning as Nagano did, so it seems unlikely that someone else who was already competing could have won in the next few tournaments. As others have stated, Nagano would still most likely kanzenseiha in 18 or 19, but by then... it's anyone's guess as to which of the notable Shin-Sasuke competitors would even come into the picture. Li En Zhi was already around, Kong comes back for sure, but what of the trials guys, the americans, others like Okuyama? The All-Stars might have had a few more decent runs at the later stages, and Yamada might have had a good shot at clearing a non-revamped first stage eventually (he did have some decent runs at the much more difficult Shin-Sasuke first stages).
Lastly, I think Takeda might have cleared the third stage, had it not been overhauled.

Anyone ever notice how Nagano had a sketchy landing on the Circle Slider in 17? (Not like he barely landed, but for a brief moment you can tell he wasn't fully balanced) Weird to think if he fell backwards and failed, that would've changed the course of Sasuke's history.

That would've changed history. 1.Yuuji would've been known as the GOAT simply because Nagano failed. 2.He would've been known as another version of Takeda(Always failing the Final Stage) 3.There would be no ANW(Since G4 doesn't pick it up) 4.Sasuke wouldn't exist right now.
