I'm more surprised no one said anything about Miyake's possible return.

Does anyone know how the last obstacle in Stage 3 from Kunoichi 7 works? And do you think it could make a comeback as it was never attempted?

Does anyone know how the last obstacle in Stage 3 from Kunoichi 7 works? And do you think it could make a comeback as it was never attempted? Well, the original plan was finish Tourenta, pause the run, get a harness on, run resumes, climb up one part, go around the corner, climb up the Hang Climbing angled section and then up the almost vertical angled section, then on top. I haven't seen if there's a button on top but I assume there is. And as for a return, that's up to Inui, he'd have to completely rebuild it if he wanted to so he could put anything there.

I made the VIKING comment as an off-hand wish, surprised people kept talking about it.
Anyways, I am incredibly excited about the prospect of seeing a Kunoichi live. I guess this means I have to catch up (have only ever seen 1-3).
Do Kunoichi 8 spoilers still need to be flagged the same way Sasuke 32 ones still are? I haven't seen it and would appreciate the no spoilers, although I understand it has been out for, quite a while.

I haven't been on in a while, so my immediate reaction to this board being updated was 'what now'. This is the ideal update, such a pleasant surprise. I honestly didn't see it coming, but I welcome it. I just hope they learn from 8 and don't repeat that. <twitter snip> Meanwhile.. Ayako knows about it. LOL Yasss. I'm more surprised no one said anything about Miyake's possible return. ;) Long live the Queen. :D

Welp, people are gonna ask if I'll do watching Kunoichi now It could just be a parody video. 30 seconds of close ups of boobs and butts set to dreamy music! Kunoichi abridged? Nah...

You guys think NBC should capitalize on this by doing a special where the ANW women take on the Kunoichi legends? Here's who I feel they should do it:
Team Kunoichi Yuko Mizuno Rie Komiya Chie Tanabe-Nishumura Maho Tanaka Satomi Kadoi Ayako Miyake
Team American Ninja Warrior Jessie Graff Kacy Catanzaro Meagan Martin Michelle Warnky Natalie Duran Jessie Lebreck

Um FYI, I know how long its been off the air, but that doesn't mean the Kunoichi women have given up! You've seen past ANW: USA vs the World specials where the guys took on the Sasuke men, so why not the ANW women face the Kunoichi women?

You've seen past ANW: USA vs the World specials where the guys took on the Sasuke men, so why not the ANW women face the Kunoichi women? Clearly you haven't followed current Sasuke and seen where the Kunoichi vets either stopped competing or are retired mothers like Mika who no longer train for the show. They've been at this for 15 years and have long since walked away from the show. That can't be said for the current ANW women who are in their prime in a show that is more than half the age of it's predecessor.

The last Kunoichi competition prior to this was in 2009, that was after coming back after the first time it ended with the last competition being in 2007, competitions were once a year, the majority of your list was at their peak of competition in the earlier tournaments. The rise of the female ANW competitors clearing has only been the past few years. Do people somehow not see how that'd be a bit skewed as far as competition.
Also for perspective, also in 2009 was the last time Nagano Makoto made it to the final stage in Sasuke, he has also since had his family grow and age catch up to him which both caused a restrict in training which led to a stage 1 failure streak and the choice to retire. I'm not saying Nagano is a perfect comparison here but this is more a point being made on the perspective of time of why it'd be an unfair edge to the ANW womens team.

Kunoichi will NOT be taped at Midoriyama. So it's a full reboot. They haven't decided on the new name yet though.

Well, the last time Kunoichi ended and they held applications for something temporarily called Female Sasuke and it turned out to be called Kunoichi 8 and had a severely different format. Now we're getting something originally called Kunoichi but will turn into a different show, so congrats on going back to the 1-7 format (Please note this post is NOT completely serious, I swear if anyone starts passing this off as fact I will track you down and make you look like an idiot )

It's not that it CAN'T be taped at Midoriyama.. in fact by having it at a different location they can practically tape it the same weekend as Sasuke 33... Just stagger the taping days by a couple of days and voila you get them both out and ready for the winter season. As for name.. if the format change is as drastic as I hope it is.. it won't be Kunoichi anymore (like more than what K8 did). I HOPE the proposed format (discussed from a few years ago) is even in play. I haven't asked recently and obviously they won't go into detail now, but if it is, it should be an awesome change. Seriously though, if you have a question about it, ask him! I've been surprised by what he says sometimes publicly. LOL

Lol wasn't expecting this after a three month hiatus from the board. I'm shocked, elated and anxious all curled up into one giant ball.
