I loved KUNOICHI 8 except for the third stage.
I can't find where they said that it's a winter SASUKE. If they tag on a season, it's always when the show airs, not when it is taped.

It was a couple tweets I saw when referring to it which is why I said it had to be aired before March 20'ish for it to be considered "winter". We'll see if that was a typo/translation error.

LOL I don't think they understand the meaning of the word "Retirement", then again this is the same group that saw Yamada retire at least 4 times and the whole Sasuke 28 All Star Retirement thing so maybe I can understand why they don't know

I haven't been on in a while, so my immediate reaction to this board being updated was 'what now'. This is the ideal update, such a pleasant surprise.
Not that I'm not cautiously optimistic. There's a number of women for ANW that you can argue deserve a shot but it would be downright criminal especially (if there is an American presence) if any combo of Graff (current America #1 for the women being the only women's Vegas clear), Kacy (best women's result in 32 which was among the best non Stage 1 clears overall that tournament), Martin and Labreck aren't invited. But even if there's not an American footprint, I wonder how many 'vets' they'd be able to get.

I opened SMF and saw this board and literally said 'whaaaaaaaaaat' out loud. We have new Kunoichi, New Sportsman, and potentially 2 Sasuke in 2017. What a year to be alive!
*Crosses fingers for Viking reboot plz*

*Crosses fingers for Viking reboot plz* Viking was never a TBS show, Monster9 no longer exists, if Fuji TV never tried to reboot it when Sasuke started getting bigger worldwide and Monster9 was still alive they would have, in the off chance they ever got the idea to reboot it (Which is very slim to none) it wouldn't be like it was, just because Inui has managed to recreate Sasuke he's also working with TBS so again, chances he'd be allowed to help Fuji TV are just as slim to none as the microscopic chance they'd want to revive it

LOL Lord knows both ANW and Sasuke take obstacles from there but they would never outright redo it for the reasons Rider posted. The split between M9 and Fuji was pretty epic and I doubt they would want to relive that. Besides, I'm not sure of the legal stuff with it.. would they have to get permission from Higuchi to reboot the show? Meanwhile.. Ayako knows about it. LOL

I didn't even know about whatever controversies were involved with the breakup between M9 and Fuji, even if not for whatever happened there all the logistical problems still stand As for Higuchi I'm not sure how many legal rights he had, intellectual property might have been part of Monster9's assets that were involved in the bankruptcy auction (or however they sell off parts of bankrupt companies in Japan), I'm not sure what hoops TBS had to jump through to get 100% control of Sasuke that they did at the time.

Well, I don't know what went on with Fuji TV, but knowing Higuchi's record on that sort of thing no surprise lol
