The official site was updated for this year's event. Taking place at the 2017 State Fair of Texas from September 29 - October 22. Registration is still open. The obstacles are - Angle Run, Jumping Spider, Log Grip, Traverse Hanging Spikes, Traverse Door Knobs, Warped Wall. The prizes are the same as last year - Overall Male - $15,000; Overall Female - $15,000; Overall Team - $3,750 per member Also the same as last year, outside of the overall prizes, are prizes for individuals in different age groups, separated by male and female, for a total of 8 categories - 1st $1,000; 2nd $750; 3rd $500; 4th $250; 5th $100. --- The course seems less difficult than last year's. They removed the carbon fiber Salmon Ladder + Arm Slider, put in a Log Grip, changed the Steps for a one-side Angle Run. Although they did swap the Monkey Bars with Hanging Spikes. I hope they fix the landing distance/height after the second Traverse obstacle to encourage people to actually attempt the obstacle, rather than technically touch it. $15,000 sounds like a lot for this size of a course. If you look at last year's results, the top 18-39 range is almost entirely big ANW names. Not much of a chance for new people, but at least it's open.

Probably not. Like previous years, you have a friend record your run and upload it yourself. Like last year, ANWNation will most likely have a piece featuring lots of social media posts and videos from this year's event.

My main question is when will the major ANW ninjas show up to do this? I'm so lost...

Good question. Even though it runs for the entire duration of the State Fair (every Saturday and Sunday), ANWNation's post last year s howed the big names were there on the last day. I'd say the last weekend would be a good bet. I have no idea if they assign slots or if you get to choose.

You get the choose what day you want to come. With team ninja warrior up people are changing their days around and what-have-you. Most ninjas went on the last day (last year). That's when I'll be there. Have to capture beta.

One week left of the competition! Registration is still open! No full runs, yet, but that's probably because the competition is still ongoing. However, Obstacle Warriors nearby has a replica of the obstacles. https://www.instagram.com/p/BaAacHZjsuI They're letting competitors play on the course after, and here's one dude trying to fly through the Jumping Spider. https://www.instagram.com/p/BaPX_3fnPUV I imagine the fastest times are hitting somewhere between the last two panels.

Overall Female - Jesse Labreck Overall Male - Joseph Moravsky Overall Team - The Bozos - Michelle Warnky, Ethan Swanson, Jake Murray, Allyssa Beird Male 18-29 Ethan Swanson Kyle Soderman Mathis Owhadi Drew Dreschel Brian Burkhardt Female 18-29 Brittany Hanks Barclay Stockett Xochitl Sosa-Campbell Haley Coyle Jeri D'Aurelio Male 30-39 Sean Bryan Jake Murray Andrew Lowes Karsen Williams Max Grocki Female 30-39 Michelle Warnkey Cody Hucal Zhanique Lovett Jessica Clayton Male 40-49 Mike Brown Trevor Parks Todd Mitchell Ted Jung Marc Coulam Female 40-49 Brandy Goddard Sherrie Laureano Linda Boomer Karen Sabo Tracy Horak Male 50+ Michael Doweidt Michale Moore Randall Lawson Scott Hundley Chris Warnky Female 50+ Martha Yallaly Ginny MacColl Overall winners are ineligible from winning their age bracket prizing. There's a blank line in Female 30-39, so I assume she's an actual ninja.

Jessie Graff took 4th place only using 1 leg for the 30-39 age group. That is the missing one
