Donated 100 dollars. I really hope it reaches the goal, and I also shared it on Facebook Echo. I am so looking forward to this. Plus 2D2Will is the only one herewho has met me irl so more of you will get the opportunity! Make some sacrifices, save up and let's do this everyone.

He would be here for at least March 3-5, and then +/- a few days on either side probably. If we can raise the funds quickly, the gofundme will stay up until he arrives, but we probably have a month before it will become to late for him to book. Understood. I do hope this reaches success. I need to meet him. There aren't too many reasons for international ninjas to be in Texas sadly so I'll need to travel too! Woo ROAD TRIP! So I'm not the only texan on smf

Would you be able to get him to compete in the finals as a wildcard? Don't ask him that. He is specific that he is not in any shape to compete. That is why he retired from Sasuke. To ask him would actually be considered rude. I can't imagine that he wouldn't want to at least try some of the obstacles, especially considering 1. the American obstacles are so wildly different from the Japanese obstacles now, and 2. I doubt he'd want to make the trip all the way to California and not try anything. But who am I to say

He asked me to not book him in places with physical challenges since he feels compelled to perform in front of an audience and he's not prepared. That's why he left Sasuke. He doesn't want to suffer the embarrassment.

What's the worst that happens? He says he doesn't want to try any obstacles then changes his mind and they still let him try them anyways? He's a ninja warrior legend, everyone will be stoked to see him on or off of obstacles

It's the principle. He's been very direct about his reasons and to ignore it would be to rude and insensitive to his feelings. I'm all for him being here but putting in the start line and expecting him to do something he CLEARLY has stated publicly he prefers not to is just dishonoring him. He just wants to meet his fans. Don't embarrass him for your curiosity.

He'll definitely try some of the obstacles-at least in the gifted training session-but me asking about having him as a legit competitor at the finals is a step too far for him.

I highly, HIGHLY doubt he'd compete, but he'd at least want to try out SOMETHING, right?

Yeah trying it out when camera's are not on would be fine because he still likes those things.. but to corner him and announce "hey who wants to see him run" would be reaaaally rude.

Things with fundraisers is that you need to network and get it in as many places as possible. Outside of the first day post I haven't seen anything else about it. Word of mouth only gets you so far. You need to work it. I've done 2 so far and that's the only way it worked.

Funny, I've just come to tell you guys there's an end date. Most of the sharing has been on Facebook, a bit on Twitter too. Thanksgiving and two tournaments slowed me down too tbh. Anyway, I think the end date will help get people moving on it. End date is December 16 at midnight. If it's not raised by then everyone will get a refund.

Although I'm on the other side of the country and couldn't realistically visit Nagano at this time, it is something I'd love many other fans on SMF and elsewhere to experience. I'll do my best to help with this campaign to make it a reality!

Action Athletics has a NNL comp this weekend. If you can get Ryan Stratis or someone else to give it a shout out there, that'll raise awareness to a lot of ninjas in one blow. Getting Chris Wilczewski to give it a shout out on Ninja Lab would help too.

I'll reshare it on Facebook again. I would feel ashamed if this failed...

As much as I don't want to sound mean, I think that this fundraiser will sadly not meet the target. 568$ after all these days means that the sum is not going to even come close to the target. (1k is possible...maybe)

(1k is possible...maybe) It was a struggle even for Arsenette, who has the largest outreach in the community This one never stood a chance...

I wouldn't give up on it. What I've learned about the community was eyeopening. While I know my specific one (sending me personally) I ran into people who were just plain upset/jealous that they didn't get a chance to do the same thing. Mine was different because it was a personal thing (meaning just me sent to Japan) and I get that. I shouldn't have asked a second time and that is the reason why I won't do a personal one for a 3rd time. What I'm hearing from the Facebook ANW community is the same thing that went on with mine. That's just really sad. This is supposed to be about bringing Nagano over and not a fan to Japan. Given that all this season (Sasuke 32) certain people begged for money to be sent to Vietnam and even Sasuke, the same people are angry that they didn't think of doing this one. It's really really sad. What was supposed to be a great outreach to bring Nagano and his family unfettered from NBC or TBS involvement and to give access to Nagano that was NEVER given before, has turned into an ugly jealous display from the very people who begged for money for their own personal endeavors. I was appalled when I heard about the Facebook reactions. I for one will help get the word out and even said something in the podcast about it. There is still time. Even in mine I got a lot of my money near the end. We'll see how it goes. There is still 3 weeks left. I'm just bitterly disappointed with the selfish people who are angry at Brian for wanting to bring Nagano here to the USA to meet their fans. Where has the Sasuke fandom fallen to even think that it was a selfish request. It infuriates me.

As someone who has fundraised for a charity team year after year, and as someone who has participated in and helped fundraise dozens of independent short film campaigns, I wouldn't give up on this one just yet. Money tends to pour in as the deadline gets closer. There are plenty enough people who'd love to see Nagano to make this goal.
