Get hyped!
They should make them run outside during the auditions. That'll test their commitment!

Good to see a new tournament is indeed happening. Morimoto will return in hero's welcome as promised! Can't wait!

GAIJINS, PLEASE!
I am 100% serious about competing. If Americans that have never been on ANW before are allowed through, I am absolutely going to send an application. It's the year.

So this is likely gonna be earlier in the year than past rising era tourneys. They might be trying to dodge the rainy season so they don't have another 32?

Really hyped about this tournament! After the big controversy about T32, I'm really thinking that TBS learned from their mistakes and that this will be a big come-back. Also, Morimoto's coming back, looking forward to that. Watching without Nagano there might still be a minor problem to me..

Yes but if they hold it close to after auditions, as has been the case recently, they'd be taping around late January (at the earliest), February or March during which it would be fairly cold. You can only predict rain reliably within a week or so. Unless something happens, we know that winter in that part of Japan will be cold. Of course, they show itself would more than likely be labelled as a Spring SASUKE since they go by when it airs, not when it was taped. Deadline makes it already too late for the show to fill in the dead air time of New Years.

I think bigger than that they are trying for 2 tournaments a year. Speculation on my part but it fits the narrative. If they do biannual tournaments again.... that would be absolutely awesome. Obviously there have been reasons why they haven't done them since the Rising era started but I miss the biannual deal.

So, I haven't had the chance to read through things yet but it seems they are not accepting American applicants per usual? This is the first year that I actually feel like I'm decently strong and fit enough to apply without school getting in the way (graduated now). Does anyone think, with my story, that I'd have any shot of getting an audition? I even have the funds to travel

We don't know. Ask the guy in charge. Just remember that he's hired and the internationals are handled by people who are not on Twitter. Also remember Comcast is back. Lord knows wtf is going to happen now with them back in the fold.

I wasn't around any forums during 32, what was the controversy?
