Sorry if I'm out of the loop here. How did she get her footage?

so she did better than both Kenji and Kazuma. That's amazing for her to get as far as she did! (Oh and no shame on PDA. Go get em' Grace! )

Probly could just ask Google, but... who is she?
And not trying to start a political discussion or anything like that, but didn't TBS only air 1 woman in the entire broadcast? Why didn't they air more? It's just crazy how different in culture Japanese TV and US TV is.

There was quite the discussion on the editing for Sasuke 32. The elimination of women (except for the one talento/idol chick that was contractually obligated to be shown) was a hot topic back in July.
As for who she is, she's a YouTuber/blogger I've been following for a few years now.

And there were some on the NAVI but I guess that doesent count, and still should feature more than one anyways.

I know PDA in Japan is a bit of a cultural no-no, but I find it amusing that the one article I clicked on giving a little bit of detail on it was from Grace lol. I knew where she failed but I didn't know she was so close to beating it. Hope the whole editing fiasco (especially with the women; still infuriating to think about) doesn't discourage her from doing it next year if she wanted.

I'm sure that's probably a bit too expensive, Sasuke only has to do it to 100 people (more or less), ANW has 100 invites per region, 25 spots they could give to walk ons, an average of 5 regions, 2 rounds in a region, then the 4 stage vegas course if people make it there but that's 15 per region and however many wildcards. That's probably even more expensive than Sasuke has to...

Btw I know this is last minute but does anyone have specific questions for her that she didn't answer in the comments? Over the weekend I plan to catch up with her for an informal interview.

But I think they do get their run on DVD or something. Joe Moravsky had his Stage 3 run on the ANW All Stars uploaded to YouTube. I'm not sure if it was just that specific instance or what. But the run was never actually aired on television.

Maybe only some notable people get them, because I can confirm not everyone gets their run

They didn't take down Kacy's vid when she posted her run, surely they wouldn't mind Grace posting her full video run. EDIT: dank

Kacy only posted the Navi video and yes they did take that down. As for private video with no show markers, etc. are exclusively as a gift to the competitor for participating. They are never allowed to show the full video. Some have done in the past but have been reprimanded for it. Remember, these are cut runs and are similar in style to the ones Sasuke Rising had put up a few years ago on their website but have since stopped doing so. They are not allowed. Hell, they are even given a letter with strict instructions to not do so. So no you won't see it. This is the best she can do without showing it. She is allowed to talk about her experience.

All of it (at least back around ANW4) was posted online and people found their runs, but it was all private so no one could view them.

I've competed thrice and have many friends who have competed and I've never heard of someone getting their run. Hell, even someone who went on to work for the show couldn't get their run.

Uhm.. this thread is about Grace's Sasuke run and not about disgruntled ANW competitors on how Comcast/NBC/G4/Esquire handles cut runs.

And Kacy did just post it from another youtuber who had uploaded her run soon after the NAVI ended, although that one isnt taken down, so, I wonder why they took down Kacy's then.

All of which are irrelevant to this thread. This was a discussion about the run that never aired. It's fine if no one is interested in it. It's just sad how this entire thread was hijacked.
