I hope it's not what thgiladab fears it is....
....but if Shunsuke was devastated about not going to the Olympics, I feel like that may be the reason - then Takamasa stayed one more time but soon he'd stop going too.
But what do we know? Let's just hope now that this isn't the last we've seen of them.

I agree with homeslice. Although I thought/figured that Shunsuke would be back because he didn't end up going to the Olympics. And I kind of just assumed that Takamasa being at Sasuke was just a given. Obviously I was wrong, and I hope that they're both back for 22. Who knows.....maybe they just couldn't attend for reasons beyond their control or something, rather than them not wanting to attend. *is hoping that is the case (no offense)*

Any news on Takuya Kawahara?
He's the one who almost made it to stage 2 in Sasuke 19, but timed out ont he rope climb.
he competed in 20 but lost on the half pipe attack pretty badly.
He reminds me on Shunsuke, and I think in time he could become just as good.
I hope he keeps competing.

We probably won't know until Sasuke 21, that's if he even competed and if they are going to show him. I'm guessing that if he did compete, that TBS would show him.

Well arsenette seems to have a source of finding out everyone that competed.
If her "source" knows who Takuya Kawahara is, we could find out.
Fingers crossed that he did.

I sure hope so too. However, he doesn't stand out that much if he did compete, unlike people like Kenji Takahashi and Yuji Washimi. I hope he did compete, and I hope he did well.

LOL I've been bothering her a lot in the past 24 hours and she did mention that some she is missing because she was dealing with heat exhaustion and a long day. Nagasaki I'm 100% positive because she really was looking forward to either of them but they weren't there to her dissapointment. The rest.. We'll just have to wait if we find stuff online. Poor woman is suffering from reverse jetlag!

I can only assume that Octopus and Hang Glider Man, among others of their type, made it in as well, right?

Yes to Takahashi and Washimi, and it's almost given for Octopus, etc...a big part of Sasuke are those competitors.

Those were just the ones I was looking forward to and hoping for...
okuyama takuya kawahara and koji
The only thing I've seen of ANY of them is a small clip of Koji on stage 2 in Sasuke 19.
I hope all 3 returned =/

I asked about Koji and she said the skinny firefighter with the orange pants was not there.. Just Takeda with the orange pants. If he wore something else she might have been thrown off. Remember.. everything is rattling off in Japanese and she might have missed it but she does know a lot of the competitors.

Aw, that'd be a shame if Koji stopped coming.

No, we didn't get that number for Nakata. And does anyone know what # Iketani was?
Heck, it's no big deal, I'll wait.
But back on topic a bit, I'd be surprised if Okuyama didn't show up again either because he did well last time, save for the one slip-up on the Stick Slider.

Checking out some of the Navi, I think I saw Takayuki Kawashima (tumbler and finalist in 1 who came back and failed the Halfpipe Attack in 20). Is he back in this one as well?
