Meanwhile, my local team (Pittsburgh Riverhounds) finished third-to-last in the USL (3rd tier). Good thing we don't have relegation in the US. lol Also, is nobody going to mention this, or... At least you're not in the NASL lol. Speaking of football, anyone see the greatest NFL game of all time: Seahawks 6 Cardinals 6?

In a field goal shootout; both teams, plus everyone watching, lost. so wait... it ended in a tie?! I never knew NFL games can do that! In the regular season for NFL games, if the game is tied after the 4th quarter, there is one, 15-minute overtime quarter. If the team that first receives the ball (after a coin toss like in the very beginning of the game) scores a touchdown on their first drive, the game is automatically over. If only a field goal is scored or they don't score at all, the other team has a chance to tie or beat the other team's non-touchdown score. If they both get field goals or don't score on their respective first drives, it's a golden goal scenario where next score wins. If the game is still tied after the 15 minutes, it ends in a tie. In the postseason, same rules apply except there are unlimited overtime quarters; as many as necessary until a winner is determined.

Imo, either they should get rid of overtime, or allow unlimited overtimes, or someway of deciding the game. Being able to have a tie occur goes completely against the purpose of having overtime.

The NHL used to have 5 minute OT and ties until 2004. Then they added the shootout. A loss in OT or a shootout is still worth half a win though... Also, TFC WINS ITS FIRST EVER PLAYOFF GAME!!!

There's only been 21 ties since overtime was incorporated in 1974. So about 1 every 2 years...

Sounders win their first playoff game thanks to the man who only scores in Playoff Knockout Rounds, Nelson Valdez.

Well that World Series game was intense. Came down to the last out. Agreed. This World Series is getting more intense the more I think about it. Indians & Cubs are at this back and forth.

Craig Anderson makes 37 saves for a shutout in his first game back since taking a leave of abscence Thursday. His wife has cancer. What a guy.

Oh look, another NFL tie (Bengals vs. Redskins, in London). Ties are becoming more common this season than Browns wins.

It's funny how my mom just now asked how the Bengals did. Now I can answer her. (The quarterback used to go to TCU and she went there during her youth so she keeps tabs on the players)

The Cubs are going to Game 7. One win to break a drought, one way or the other. Either way, it would make the Leafs' drought 2nd among active championship droughts (tied with St. Louis Blues)

As a Leafs fan who isn't used to winning, I hope the Cubs win for your sake.
