Cliffhanger. I still have no clue what was with that ledge for their feet as I almost personally think it was unnecessary. Stability so they could be able to jump backwards with any semblance of momentum since there's no room for them to swing their legs to garner enough momentum considering there's a large, slanted wall in front of them. As goofy as it looked, it was a complete necessity.

I disliked most of the new obstacles but the two that stick out to me are the Broken Bridge and the Flying Squirrel (I just thought it was a harder version of the giant swing).

I believe it was because without it competitors would have no way to build the momentum to make that first crazy transition. With the wall in the way they wouldn't be able to swing.

I mean, the easier solution is just take out the wall... but the obstacle would probably look worse that way...

No I think they went with the better option, people say the foot ledge is ugly but the big open framework holding up the obstacle would be even uglier...

Giant Ring Swing, if only because of it's placement. That start of S2 needs to be a quick, not full on upper body obstacle. I'd prefer it being a type of slider obstacle followed by say an Up Down Up salmon ladder if you need to travel back up to get to the placement of the Wave Runner/Unstable bridge.

I decided to go with the Giant Ring Swing mainly because I thought it was a very boring obstacle and having the 1st obstacle of stage 2 be a potential time sink is never a good idea.

Yeah most people liked it, I don't like how long it took and I was hoping for a more original idea (although it was definitely better than the triple swing from last year imo)

only 2 votes for Wave Runner...WHY SO LOW Only dumb thing about it is the no skipping rule. Other than that, I think it's a fair successor to the Unstable Bridge. I chose the Double Wedge because the 2nd Stage should NOT be a stage that takes 3:30. A long single Wedge would be a nice last obstacle... like a really tricky version of the Pipe Slider.

I chose the Broken Bridge because it seemed hard to fail. If you got momentum in the first half of the obstacle, you were probably going to complete the obstacle even if you lost your balance. Also, not many people failed it.

If Flip wasn't Disqualified I don't think a lot of people will have a problem with the Wave Runner.

If Flip wasn't Disqualified I don't think a lot of people will have a problem with the Wave Runner. I agree. You can almost never flat out skip an obstacle. It would be a different story though if they didn't tell him the rules, but I think that's pretty unlikely. Maybe the platform could be moved forward to make it so that you had to use the second board, but it's nitpicking at that point. Tis a fine obstacle.

I seriously loved the uch. .that foothold was there to prevent a fluid swing for the leap ...and in my opinion also made it look cooler ..sort of like a rock climbing transition with your foot on a ledge .the thing I loved about the obstacle was the fact that it was filler with transitions

It would be a different story though if they didn't tell him the rules, but I think that's pretty unlikely. I mean, when explaining rules they have a guy with a megaphone explain all the rules, show a tester do the obstacle, ask if anyone has any questions, and then they have everyone raise their hand as proof of understanding of the rules on camera. You can't get DQ'd and claim ignorance of that

It's more the rule that bothers me more than the fact that he didn't follow it (if they did say it anyway!). Fair enough if they just want that as a rule, but it's going to be a bit of a hit to my opinion of an obstacle that I otherwise think is a nice sequel to the Unstable Bridge

I mean, it's also possible he might have forgot, brain farts happen, especially in the middle of the night. It's not like he would choose to do the obstacle wrong and intentionally get DQ'd

Uhh... Curved Body Prop? Pretty hard but made the transition from it to Hang Climb a lot closer and less trickier. I'd rather a modified Cannonball Alley there
