Please don't derail this thread to bring up another topic. Trust me.. the Canadian fans here on SMF have been vocal over the past 8 years. Leave that on that thread.

So, is this going to be something similar to USA vs. The World with teams, or is this just a regular tournament?

Tbh it befuddles me why there haven't been any A-list celebrities on any form of American Ninja Warrior. I thought at least a couple would be dying to try it. Maybe their managers don't let them for fear of humiliation/injury?

Maybe their managers don't let them for fear of humiliation/injury? Could very well be why. Injuries happen and celebs are not immune to them. I've always thought that's why not many celebs do recreational sports. Certainly not A-list, but one of the Harlem Globetrotters (not Bull Bullard, another guy, can't remember his name) got injured pretty badly in ANW5 Baltimore on the Prism Tilt (or whatever they called it). I think it was something with his ankle, not sure.

I think it was something with his ankle, not sure. It was Jet from the Harlem Globetrotters, he was going fast and he jumped off while the Prism Tilt was still tiled up and he took a bad landing on the angled platform, he cleared the obstacle but his run had to end there because of the extent of his injury, he rolled onto his back on the slope and he needed assistance getting down from the platform (Bull and a crew member got him down), once he was on the padding they brought in a stretcher (had to move some padding to get it in) and they loaded him up onto the on site ambulance and drove off (obviously to a local hospital, don't know which one byt that detail isn't important to the story) EDIT: This also took more time since they had to do a temporary wrap to keep his ankle still on the way to the hospital

I remember the point where they lost a lot of celebs when they read the content of the NDA. Signing the NDA prohibits them from working with anyone other than NBC.... that's actually the reason why a few pro free runners left and why actors stopped since it would stop them from earning a living. They have since modified it but it really limits their earning potential if they are working actors. The control of your likeness to make money to promote ANW is a huge deal if your entire way of life is making money off your OWN image. What specifically is on those contracts they sign could be the very thing from limiting the pool of people who actually compete on ANW.

In this case, assuming they remove this clause, there could actually be lots of huge names competing.

In its current form it is scheduled to be shot along with LA qualifiers. IF they can find enough celebs, but I want to know are they going to modify the course like they did with college to make it easier or have the celebs compete on the same course as the other ninjas.

Very highly doubt it (keeping the same course). They'll want more than 10 finishers.

Also did they tell anyone that college course was easier than the regular course? If so I never caught that, which is really fked up marginalizing the team runs in comparison.

Idk, probably not if they neglect to mention course changes in USA vs the World.
