I follow The Amazing Race very closely. Also, if you consider sports, I'm a fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs

In terms of forum/online activity, just SASUKE. However, I occasionally keep an eye on stuff pertaining to Super Smash Bros.

I follow The Amazing Race very closely. Now, how does that show work? How do people get eliminated? The show is usually a race around the world for a million dollars. There are usually 11 teams of 2 (sometimes 12) that go through 11 or 12 legs of the race (earlier seasons had 13 legs), and at the end of each leg (except the last one), they must check into the pit stop and try to not be in last place. To fully go through the leg of the race, the teams must find sealed envelopes that contain clues in marked clueboxes (or otherwise), and follow its instructions. Usually, there are two special types of tasks in the legs of the race, which are: a Roadblock, which only one team member must perform, and once the person declares that they are doing the roadblock, they cannot switch places (also, there is now a limit on how many roadblocks a team member can do); and a Detour, which is a choice between two tasks, "each with its own pros and cons", and teams can switch detours as they please. The last team to check into the pit stop would usually be eliminated, however, there are anywhere between 2 to 4 non-elimination legs (depending on the number of legs and the number of teams in the race) where the last team to check in will not be eliminated. In the first 4 seasons, there was no consequence, however, there has been a penalty applied to teams that check in last on a non-elimination leg since season 5. Since season 12, these teams would need to complete an extra task in the race called a Speed Bump. Occasionally (and in the first 4 seasons, in every leg of the race except the last two), there would be a task available called a Fast Forward in a leg of the race, where the first team that completes the task can go directly to the pit stop without completing any other task of that leg. With an obscure exception (which only one team has taken advantage of), a team can only do one Fast Forward task throughout the entire race. Also, since season 12, there have been some legs of the race with a "U-Turn", where teams can choose to U-Turn another team to force them to do both Detour tasks. However, if the team U-Turns a team ahead of them, they waste their U-Turn, as they can only use their U-Turn once during the race. The final leg of the race takes the 3 teams that have not been eliminated back to the US (and on two occasions, 4 teams), and whoever properly finishes the final leg of the race first will win the top prize.

He doesn't mention this I think but if you are last but don't get eliminated, your money gets turned over. Stuff too I believe, and you have to fend for yourself going on. Didn't a winning team have this issue...? Yuchena and Joice...? The spelling of the names escaped me.

They've had a number of different penalties for finishing last during a non-elimination leg, currently the penalty is a "Speed Bump" Challenge where that team has to complete an extra challenge before moving on...basically it's a time waster challenge

From season 5 to 9, the team that was last in a non-elimination leg had to give away all of their money and didn't get any money for the next leg. From season 7 to 9, in addition to the money, they also had to give away everything they have except the clothes they are wearing and their passports. Uchenna and Joyce were subject to this rule on the last leg of Season 7's race. In seasons 10 and 11, the team that was last in a non-elimination leg would receive a 30 minute penalty at the next pit stop unless they came in first place.

When I was a tween, I was actually one of the most active and well-respected hardcore SpongeBob fans on the SBMania forums. I was the author of the original top 100 episode list on the forums (that has yet to be brought to a conclusion nearly a decade later) and I believe I singlehandedly changed the hardcore fanbase's opinion of Season 4 (the first post-movie season) in an epic thread that compared it to the worst season (at that time), Season 6. Dozens have emulated my list-making venture on the forums in the time since I've 'disappeared', and over the years since I 'disappeared' I seem to have reached something of a mythical status among those old and new members who wonder if I will ever finish it. Once in a very rare while (maybe once or twice a year) I log back in and add one episode to the countdown, stoking the hype flames. Still, nobody knows my top 10 (or top 20, I still haven't gotten to it).
