I've been thinking about this topic for quite a long time. What is the most truly atrocious american ninja warrior obstacle of all time? I personally compiled a list of my personal least favorites, so tell me what you think? I think snake crossing due to the ridiculously high fail rate for a balance obstacle and the constant breaking of it.

Hands down, the genesis of s***ty obstacles in ANW, the f***ing Bridge of Blades in ANW2 was so dumb, still ant believe G4 set it up like a +, completely removing any strategy from what would was really an obstacle with some options on how to attack it

Every obstacle ever made because the whole course ripped off SASUKE...there I said it. Happy now?

Every obstacle ever made because the whole course ripped off SASUKE...there I said it. Happy now? Look who came crawling back. And seriously, ANW stopped copying Sasuke 1-2 years ago at this point. You should look around. ANW is innovating more in the obstacle department more so than Sasuke has in YEARS. Sure not every idea may work, but at least they try. If anything, take one look at the first stage of 32 and you'll see "Sasuke versions" of ANW-Created Obstacles!

Well, two obstacles is still much less than entire stages at one point, and ANW still uses versions or variations of other Sasuke obstacles. Whether people like to admit it or not, it's still a spin-off and has used elements of the parent show to form its identity (and even took from Kunoichi and Viking). It's easier to attempt to innovate and fail when you have the budget for it, it's very peculiar for people to take points off from a show that wants to add but can't because they aren't allowed to. Not to mention, ATS and Inui collaborated on those 32 obstacles, considering one of those obstacles was brand new to their show as well, so it's a moot point to try and say 'Oh, Sasuke shamelessly copied ANW'. ANW's never gonna get rid of the Warped Wall, I don't see the Wall Lift going anytime soon. And don't get me wrong, it's good that ANW is creating more original obstacles, but again, when you have the money, you should. From what I heard in Vegas, the Jumping Spider is still around, an obstacle older than ANW. Among a few others. As for the thread at hand, there have been some stinkers in ANW for various reasons, but there's something about the Wall Drop that just makes me upset. At least with the ANW 1 barrel, it was in theory an obstacle, just they couldn't get it to spin (first timers having inexperience). The Wall Lift in qualifier made little sense, but at least it was a working Wall Lift. Wall Drop is just a random conglomeration of crap left over, but not done in a cool way. I've seen better ideas in sandbox video games.

For example, you say that the Jumping Spider is a Sasuke obstacle that ANW copied, but the Spider Walk that originally inspired the Jumping Spider came from a show that preceded even Sasuke.

BY FAR, the Silk Slider in ANW6. Because halfway through the runs they overinflated the platform and ruined pretty much all of Venice who ran right after. And they didn't do reruns.

I'm quite surprised that the spinning barrel in anw 1 is winning. Even though no one failed it, it was because it broke and the people making it had a much smaller budget and were inexperienced. But what makes me more surprised is that one one is voting for the utility pole slider when 0 people failed it 4 seasons later.
