Someone made a comment on Youtube that Kacy is the first woman to clear the Soritatsu Kabe, is this true? How many other women have cleared it if any?

Oshima Ayano completed it in Sasuke 31 but timed up before she cleared the obstacle. Also Izumi (then, now her family name is Watanabe) Mika cleared it in the Sasuke 13 trials. Those are the only 3 women in Sasuke history to complete the Soritatsu Kabe, only 2 of them were in regular competition and one was a time out, so technically Kacy is the first to do it on time. It's too bad too, because TBS' f*ck up in ruling denied Kacy history, and while that might be a good thing for us ANW watchers, you still have to feel sorry for her.

I never understood why people got so annoyed at ANW leaving out the two women above. One was in trials, which doesn't count as a tournament, and the other time out before she fully cleared the obstacle, meaning she failed there. There really is no debate. When ANW began, no woman had legitimately cleared the Warped Wall...

I think the main question is in regards to clearing it in competition  Which really brings up the issue of bringing up trials, since that was still clearing it but that wasn't in the main tournament. I'm not sure if that was broadcast (I think so? on Zone or whatever the predecessor to Sasuke Maniac was called) but I may be wrong on that, what isn't wrong is it being Trials, I'm not trying to take that away from her at all, it just wasn't main competition. Then again that brings up the question of people caring about ANW should count the regionals considering that's pretty similar to Sasuke 13's trials I never understood why people got so annoyed at ANW leaving out the two women above. I covered the trials thing, also besides the time out before completing the obstacle I don't think if people were going to combine results (I'm speaking hypothetically here people, don't start a $#!+storm about it...) Oshima Ayano completed it in 2015, ANW already had 3 female competitors up their qualifiers Warped Wall at that point |

If Mika had the ANW timer in trials she would have cleared the course. Kacy didn't so she passed after 18 minutes on that stage. As for Ayano last year, this was the furthest woman had gone in 18 yers and her clear is deleted by people who are pissed off she didn't clear? WTF guys wtf. The announcer and the crowd lost their marbles because she cleared the wall on her first try after the tackle. TBS emphatically counts that as a clear since she didn't fail the obstacle, she timed out. Only two people in this forums who happen to edit the wiki are discounting both clears. That pisses me off so damn much I can't even put it into words. Why can't ya'll be happy that Kacy ALSO cleared and got to the lumberjack - the obstacle no woman has even gotten to? Why is it so important to rewrite history for one person? Seriously. Damn. |

After all if TBS can't make an official ruling then NBC can't either. |

Not to open a can of worms here, but is the 18 minutes mention a hyperbole or did they actually edit her time down for broadcast? Also I 100% have to side with arsenette here. People don't seem to grasp that there is a semantic difference between clearing a stage and clearing an obstacle. In regards to an obstacle, a clear implies successfully tackling an obstacle without failing or violating a rule (eg skim water) In regards to a stage, a clear is clearing every obstacle within the time limit. With that context, it is possible to clear every obstacle and *complete* the stage without *clearing* the stage, as both Kacy and Nagano did this year. This relationships also shows that while time influences a Stage clear, it is unrelated to an obstacle clear, therefore a timeout obstacle clear is still a valid clear. This means Ayano's TO clear is still a legitimate clear After that you can make your distinction between "in tournament" or "in event (qualifiers/trials + final)", but either way it wasn't Kacy. Kacy did a great job though, clearing every obstacle is a big feat in itself. |

I DON'T count Kacy's qualifying wall as legit, only the timed Vegas/Sasuke courses. When we say first to clear the Warped Wall, we mean first in competition. Trials may be a Sasuke related event, but it is not part of the main set of tournaments, and so shouldn't effect the records of those main tournaments, which are another kettle of fish entirely. Ayano is more up for debate, but it still makes logical sense that if you time out before fully clearing an obstacle, you have failed on that obstacle. As for Brent, that is entirely irrelevant here, not sure why you brought it up. I honestly don't care who goes down in history, but the fact still stands, Kacy was the first to without question, clear the Warped Wall in main competition undoubtedly within the time limit, whilst with Ayano the lines are more fuzzy. Don't accuse people of trying to rewrite history just because it isn't the result you want. There is a solid argument for Kacy. |

He didn't technically fail anything, but he still timed out on the warped wall. A fail constitutes a result other than reaching the end of stage 1 in time and pressing the button. It is a fail via time out on the warped wall. |

I almost wish Ayano had let go of the top of the Warped Wall once the buzzer sounded, that way this discussion wouldn't even be happening. Once your time is up, your run is OVER. Yes, she grabbed the top of the wall, and then time expired. If TBS has her clearing the Warped Wall, did they say she failed the Tarzan Rope? In that case, where did they have Nagano fail? He most definately cleared the Lumberjack Climb before time expired. Where did TBS have him failing? The void between Stage 1 and Stage 2? She ran out of time while attempting the Warped Wall, not after clearing it. |

They COMPLETED the obstacle, but TBS says that those who clear Stage 1 move on to Stage 2, so clear refers to completing the obstacles AND doing so in the alloted time limit. Nagano and Kacy completed Stage 1, but did not clear Stage 1. |

I think the easiest for me not to get my blood pressure up in this case is to just remove any links to Sasukepedia. It's incomplete, incorrect and contradicts itself especially when anyone can write wtf they want being a wiki. that way I know the results aren't tampered with or subject to conjecture. TBS and NBC make the calls as to what is and what isn't legit and I don't have to like it. Hell.. if Yamada got his way Yuuji didn't clear in 24 because he was wearing the wrong shoes. I don't like the technical fails on the Salmon ladder but they are ruled as such. Yeah.. that's what I'm going to do. In the next week I'll just remove any links to Sasukepedia and just ignore this thread. It's pointless.
