Anyone think Nagano will still come to watch future Sasukes? I hope he will. Can't imagine what Takeda and Shingo will do on the course if they are all by themselves. It will be a SASUKE 31 deja vu Versus Battle again and again lol.

Not editing it with sounds and music made it real. And I had chills. In fact.. I'm still shaking now. And for the first time. I cried. I'm so glad they didn't put some soppy music track over it, it makes it feel even more 'real' (you know , for those of us who weren't there... ) . As I commented on twitter, it kicks up a lot of dust in the air when viewed (the short version on the live show was bad enough, but this is x100..)

That was beautiful. Am I the only one who thinks Ryo has been anointed as the leader of the New Generation? just the way he was last in line and Nagano's body language looked like he was passing on the baton (he was also holding the flag at the end with the all-stars), although that could all just be coincidence.

It's a real shame that Bunpei, Akiyama, Yamada and even Morimoto weren't be there for that moment.

Hearing sasuke without sound effects and music is much different and feels weird lol.

Thought it was obvious the Tackle doesn't make those noises like on the broadcast lol. The 'slash' sound the UCCH makes when it reaches its topmost and bottommost point also is post-production. As a matter of fact, I'm certain they re-used the sound the Swap Salmon Ladder made when the notches came out.
As fitting as it is that he times up at the end of the stage but not before having done every obstacle within the time limit (that Lumberjack Climb speed will be the last image of his run), I'm still heartbroken his time up wasn't because he didn't have a fast pace or took too long on the obstacles because he got to the wall with 40 seconds left which is as good as anyone. If anything, we also saw that last bit of Nagano ingenuity kicking the pillar to give himself more room to catch it at a slightly different arc; I don't think anyone shown did that.
What did Nagano in was his right foot tripped slightly just before/at the beginning of the curve which took away his momentum. And he still got a fingertip on it. Although I agree that clearing and failing later would take away from it especially since how the rest of the day went, that little misstep is going to bother me a while just out of habit.
I still think that was incredibly haphazard to throw him in the water where the Quad Steps were lol. The one spot with little wiggle room to not smack those steps and they just chuck him in there. Still great because it was inevitable. That's another thing about him not clearing worked out; it's bad form to throw him in there twice lol.

To be honest when I saw him take a lot of time towards the end of the Tackle, I knew he'd run out of time.

Such a amazing speech once again Nagano shows why he is the man! No one mattered in this tournament to me other than Nagano it sounds horrible but no one else failing bothers me at all but Nagano it hurts me!
Who now Will I care about like that? Hard to comprehend!

I know Akiyama and Shiratori had to go after first day but where was Yamada? I mean he was a guest of the Black Tigers, and none of them made it past stage 1 nor ran late so I assume they wouldn't let him in

I know Akiyama and Shiratori had to go after first day but where was Yamada? I mean he was a guest of the Black Tigers, and none of them made it past stage 1 nor ran late so I assume they wouldn't let him in Nah he was just not there. He wasn't banned from being there since the First Stage technically wasn't completed. He was just upset that his crew didn't clear the day before and chose not to return the following day. I saw him checking out of the hotel in the morning so I knew he wasn't going later that day back to Midoriyama. He wasn't in the best of moods. To be fair to him, Nagano knows Katsumi supports him. Of all the things in the world, Katsumi loves Nagano. So his not being there was not a slight to him. I just think he was reeling from the night before and the stress from the taping in the dew and frustrations of his guys failing that he just wanted to go home.
