This is the second time a cliffhanger has been cleared in a renewal tournament (SASUKE 5 was the first)

In both SASUKE 31 and 32, Tomohiro Kawaguchi wore #97 and was the last to run Stage 2 and 3.

Both times the 2nd stage had a 100% clear rate, Shingo failed stage 1.

This is the fourth time that a version of the cliffhanger was cleared on its debut (SASUKE 4 Straight CH, SASUKE 5 Up CH, SASUKE 9 Classic CH, SASUKE 32 UCCH)

Now that Shingo has been 99, the only number in the 90's he has NOT had is #91.

Close but wrong, Drew was invited, but Geoff was invited but couldn't make it, also Reko Rivera did compete in the Auditions and earned a spot as well but NBC blocked him from competing, so that's why Brent and Kacy went Nope, Migo is correct. Drew was not invited until Geoff declined due to Philly, and only had 2 weeks to train for 32. Source?

I just realized SASUKE 31 and 32 both had 8 competitors in stage 3! Also this is only the 2nd time that the backstream did not knock anyone out. The other time being SASUKE 28 but it was enough to slow down Ryo enough for him to time out. Yeah the 2nd stage needs help.

This is also the first time that the 4 founder members of the Shin-Sedai (Yuuji Urushihara, Ryo Matachi, Hitoshi Kanno, and Kazuma Asa) ALL failed Stage One. Also the first time where Yuuji has had Back-to-back First Stage Failures, and Ryo's first consecutive Stage 1 fail since SASUKE 26...

This was the first time since SASUKE 27 that Hioki Masashi has failed the First Stage, ending his streak of three straight First Stage clears (SASUKE 29-31). Same goes with Asa Kazuma since SASUKE 21, ending his streak of five straight First Stage clears (SASUKE 27-31). It was also Asa's worst performance to date.

For Yuuji this ties his personal worst failing the 5th obstacle in stage 1. The other time being SASUKE 26

Course for Takeda he was trying to scale the wall so... Nagano is always screwed over by time. From Sasuke 12 where he hit the button 0.11 seconds too late, Sasuke 23, where he would've achieved total victory if he had the same time limit in the final as in 22, and Sasuke 32, where he was a half second too late to the buzzer (he would've made it with the previous time limit). Oh look, they all have 2s in their tournament number!
