My friend volunteered with the counting in Paris and was very happy when she found out Le Pen came 5th ahah! 😊 Yeaaa in my mind if you have no chance you're a pleb, or in wrestling terms geek of the week, I use pleb in way too many contexts but it's a top tier insult so meh! Literally all Macron has to do now is not mess up, Le Pen may get some votes from the right leaning party but rest should go to Macron unless he does something stupid in next 2 weeks! Also his wife is 24 years older than him omg!!! 😁 That's unusual but kinda cute I guess!

Yellow: Macron, Blue: Le Pen. According to Wikipedia. So, the far right candidate got trounced, more or less. Huh. I'm not going to state my opinion on the EU because somebody will hate me no matter what I say. Actually someone will hate me for not saying anything. Meh.

So if anyone's been paying attention, after 6 or 7 assertions that she would not call a snap election, Teresa May did that a few weeks ago, in order to strengthen her majority in the Commons and to crush and humiliate the opposition
Last night, it came clear that she failed spectacularly
This has lead the UK on a knife-edge with Brexit talks only 11 days away, and has left a lot of people angry at the thought of a Con-DUP coalition

TBH Pride always goes before the fall and I didn't expect much out of her being the Cameron replacement who also was a prideful idiot. He didn't think he'd lose the remain vote either. Regardless, Brexit will happen and I for one am happy. I doubt this will clean house but at least it will shift things a bit given that the idiots in charge caused this mess in the first place and shouldn't be in charge of the one thing they voted so hard against.

Living in the UK, I am a bit uncertain about the country's future. They voted to leave the EU, which made the pound lose value. It is a bit scary.
