We have a contested disqualification.
One competitor got disqualified on the 2nd obstacle for grazing his foot on the water, according to the refs, but looking at the footage, it looked as if his foot hit the very bottom of the mat, causing ripples to form in the water.
UPDATE: The decision was that the saftey mat did in fact cause a ripple in the water, and the producers let him keep going, and the good thing is, is that he started at the exact same spot they stopped his run at.

Stage 2:
Jungle Ropes Basket Toss (Spin Cycle) Salmon Ladder Unstable Bridge (first board has 2 chains not 4) Wall Lift Crazy Cliffhanger (you can turn around before jump to last ledge) Floating Boards Flying Bar
The first 5 obstacles must be completed in under 65 seconds.

This second stage was way too OP for a first season...
the time limit is way too low, and the rope jungle is too hard.

That Unstable Bridge reminds me of the ANW3 one, it looks sketchy as hell swaying in the breeze

Yeahhh, I don't think they were telling the truth when they said that a tester managed to clear the timed section in the time limit.

Yeah the start of Stage 2 was way too hard, not enough time and the UB looked really sketchy. I was hoping to see someone get to the Cliffhanger, it looked on the preview like the ledges weren't as wide as the ANW CHs but I can't be sure. All in all though I enjoyed the first season, a few ninjas really impressed me and the course / commentary were good. Can't wait to see what Season 2 has in store!

Just watched a clip of Fred Dorrington attempting the course on Facebook. At first,I was like'Oh,this should be fun.Wow,so pumped!'
Until, the timer showed up.WHAT THE F MAN,65 s for 5 obstacles?!Come on!,at least the SLUB combo would take 30 sth seconds to complete. That's just WAAAYYY too harsh on the contestants.
IMO,AuNW is ruined by the time limit of Stage 2
P.S. It seems like people on Facebook are really pissed as well

LOLed at all the people pissed off that there wasn't a winner (not just because of Stage 2). The first season of these spinoffs always narrows viewers down from people who like watching other people do something they can't do to true ninja warrior fans.

Oh crap, I completely forgot about the ratings for the finale. Well, for the final episode, the ratings were split into 2 parts.
BOTH were over 2 million The first part rated 2,038,000 The second part rated 2,145,000
Also, the prize money for our version is done on a jackpot type thing; it increases by $100,000 each season until someone completes it, at which time it resets back to $100K

Talk about speed loll ..reminded me of older sasukes .when it was a race against the clock ...but this stage 2 was way to hard for a first season .i mean 60 some seconds .80 seems more fair .

I watched the qualifying rounds yesterday. The show is good, the hosts and the producers have taken it seriously. I most enjoyed the way they changed up the course for each episode. Some were much more difficult. Also the vignettes were well done and for the most part not overly long.

Unless he suffered a dumb a** fall like he did this year in both Sasuke and NWFrance orz But he definitely would've got the speed to clear Australia's Stage2
