Super excited for this. There's a handful of competitors I met at NNL I'm hoping to see here. I am too. For some reason I think the Aussie's will not be airing a comic ninja warrior. Got my VPN and 9 Now account set up, Just hope I can make the 5am east coast air time.

The first episode attracted 2.8m+ viewers which is the third highest viewer number for Nine this year (after the Australian Open Mens final and State of Origin Rugby League which are always big draws).
There is 5 qualifying heats, top 18 in each heat make it to semi-finals and then I assume the Final will be the 4 stage course. Looks good so far!
EDIT: They mentioned that there has been only 10 finishers in 20 years (4 Japan, 2 America, and Vietnam I guess?)

It was 1.69 million, not 2.8 If it was 2.8 million, that would make it one of the most watched shows in history. source: www.tvtonight.com.au/2017/07/sunday-9-july-2017.html

I missed the first episode, but judging by the highlights they looked very impressive. I thought tonight's episode was reasonable, I'm actually not minding the commentary (Ben and Rebecca seem to have done some research before this show), really looking forward to seeing some of the elite ninjas (NNL participants etc.) and what the 4 stage course has in store.
No girls have gotten up the Warped Wall yet but a couple got close tonight!

Hold on, I made a mistake when I said that ANW only hit 1.68 million.
It got that in the Capital Cities, but there was also another ~700,000 regional viewers not calculated into the average, nwhich means that the estimate that ACA had was pretty much correct.

The ratings are in for last night's episode The ratings held up, which no one was expecting. It pulled 1.608 million in the capital cities, compared to 1.69 million on Sunday. Adding on the 670,000 regional viewers brings the grand total to 2,278,000, which is a drop of some 4.5 percent, which is not much at all considering Sunday's rating of ~2.4 million (Not the 2.8 ACA was reporting). The 5 city aggregate also showed the same 4.5% drop. I did not expect the numbers to say above 1.5 million, as I was projecting the rating to be around 1.0-1.1 million, with around 525,000 regional (an overall rating of ~1.7 million) The full numbers for Monday, July 10th www.tvtonight.com.au/2017/07/monday-10-july-2017.html

Man I'm so used to seeing ratings by the hour but this is just like Japan to put them in full day blocks. Thanks so much for keeping up with this!

HEAT 3 Obstacle list: Quintuple Steps Bom Slider^ Bridge of Blades Cargo net with Lachè* Ball and Chain^ Warped Wall Extra challenge: It is raining
now for some pre-show rating analysis:
Ninja warrior is going up against 2 shows tonight; Masterchef,on WIN, and Behave yourself, on Channel 7, which was some panel quiz show that flopped on it's premiere last week.
If Sunday's performance is anything to go by, Masterchef will be destroyed by Ninja Warrior tonight, with Behave Yourself not getting anywhere near Masterchef anyway.
My prediction is a 5 city rating of 1.4 - 1.5 million, with around 620,000 regional, an overall rating of 2 - 2.1 million.
