Well five could work if they had one in each region. I'd expect as the fourth obstacle I could definitely see them as 4th or 5th...maybe 9th. I'm curious though if they might have one in Vegas. Seems unlikely but you never know. I don't know about fifth (usually it's all about grip and upper-body strength so lots of ideas wouldn't work), but I thought ninth could work too. I actually made my spinning Cliffhanger idea as the ninth obstacle in my head! Or it might just be wherever it fits best in the course. I wonder if the Salmon Ladder will be swapped for a new idea? Or if a viewer submission could end up in multiple regions? Good luck on your second design

Just was watching a bit of the Sasuke marathon on Esquire. There was an obstacle in stage 1 called the Reverse Fly, where you ran and jumped into a huge almost vertical trampoline, and landed on a landing platform next to where you started. It only lasted one season because it had like a 95% success rate. But I feel like if it had a rope you had to grab rather than a platform, it would have been much tougher and a decent Stage 1 obstacle (maybe even being a jumping spider like ninja killer). What do you guys all think.

I thought that it was a very unique obstacle that could've been played around with in future tournaments. Although another reason they removed it was because no one failed the Warped Wall that time around due to the long run-up the Reverse Fly provided. But then of course, they could have changed it's position or shortened the runway. But then it could've gotten stale if they kept it any longer so maybe it was good they did away with it quickly.

I think it could definitely replace the Sonic Curve in Vegas. That's at least where I would put it. Then the rope would go to the warped wall

That'd be ace, plus Sonic Curve got boring.

Just added my addition to the contest. Attachment DeletedBall Pit Swim Unlike most obstacles, you are required to jump into the ballpit to complete the obstacle. This time killing obstacle requires you at the very start to jump straight down into the ballpit due to the obstructing wall. As you "swim" accross the deep ballpit, you reach the end and grab the rope that brings you back onto the course. What makes this obstacle difficult is the depth and strength needed to speed past this obstacle that just keeps sucking you in.

I don't know why I've been avoiding posting here, but I made the Equilibrium Obfuscator. It has been sitting on the Editor's Choice list for a while, but I don't have a really good idea if it is actually an acceptable concept or if it's too over the top/difficult. What do you guys think of it?

I remember saying to myself that I'd never think up something that innovative haha

I would almost put it on Stage 1 in the Broken Bridge spot though

That's, what, about 3 SMFers in the Editors Pick. I like our chances.

So I really can't see that cliff hanger log thing happening but I could see it working as a cube form though. You could do something like vertical limit and a circle where you have to grip the ledge with your entire hand while turning it. It'd be a b**** to do though.

Someone submitted the Narrow lol I think that The Narrow might actually have been interesting with a thinner ledge so it'd be cool to see in a regional next year!
