We all know that the Slider Jump replaced the Flying Chute, but do you think it's a better obstacle? or is the Flying Chute better?

I like the Slider Jump better, it's more exciting, looks more fun, and it's not complete down time while you're waiting for them to get to the end.

Ooh... tough one.
Still gotta say I liked the flying chute more, and still think it was harder.
But this one looks funner and less painful...

Slider Jump for me. I like it a lot and it is completely unpredictable, which throws off even the best competitors.

Strong competitors have failed both obstacles.
FC: Nagano, Nagasaki, Takamasa, Kenji Takahashi, Bunpei, Shingo
Granted, it's also been there 3 tourneys longer, most of them happend in 19.
SJ: Nagano, Levi, PAT

The Slider Jump to me is on par with the Flying Chute from Sasuke 19, I personally think it is that hard.

I think it's hard... but IMO most of the failures were from it being new.
No one really knew how to tackle the obstacle... it's just wierd. Flying chute was more straight forward so people figured out a good technique for it quicker.
If it's still there in Sasuke 24 not many people will be failing there.
But for me, I have more chance of beating the slider jump than the flying chute.

Slider Jump.
It also brings back the tactical decision of the Jump Hang. Go up or go under? Getting tangled (not like David - that's a different situation) cost people time.
Although preferably, both would be better.

Although preferably, both would be better. I agree, I loved the flying chute, and I love this obstacle. Get rid of something no one cares about, like the half pipe attack.

I agree with Bada on the ability to recover from the Slider Jump.. Heck.. Look at David Campbell. That would not be possible on the Flying Chute. Also agree with Ube on that one - go under or over.. that's the question. Heck.. they can fail it at the last second putting their toe in the water.

The Slider Jump I actually liked a lot. At first I was reluctant about the Chute removal, I thought it was epic how it took out so many people just before the end, including Shunsuke. But the Slider Jump is like a descending jump hang.

For sure, the Slider Jump. I think three STQs got DQ'd there for just touching the water...I think it's harder to avoid the water going under than even the Jump Hang. If we had both, how would we put them in order? It seems a little awkward either way, they're both descending obstacles, perfect to come after the WW.

It's tough to decide, I like them both. I'll have to get back to y'all on that. Get rid of something no one cares about, like the half pipe attack. Whoa, hey now, people care about the Half Pipe Attack. I think it's a great obstacle - it's what the Crooked Wall should've been IMO.

Guess I'm in the minority here but I prefer the Flying Chute. Don't know why they got rid of it. It takes more skill and strategy to pass the FC whereas you just have to grab the net when you fling from the bar. Less exciting? No way- remember Iketani and the other guy do a 360?

There's not much skill or strategy in either obstacle, but the Slider Jump is way faster and I like it more.

I like the Slider Jump better. IMO, it is much more visually entertaining than the Flying Chute. Also, I like the strategy of choosing to go up or under on the net part of it as well.
