So the SASUKE 32 lineup was released today and there were a lot of surprises... Yuuji got 89, Ryo got 90, Takeda got 98, Shingo got 99 and Nagano got 100... but there's one question everyone here's asking... WHERE IS YUSUKE!?!?!?

This is probably the only post while in Japan I will make about it. We knew since last year that Yuusuke wasn't going to 32. I had a civics lesson with the corporate job market in Japan. It is customary that a year before you graduate you get hired by a company. Yuusuke got one last year pending graduation this year. Once he graduated he moved to Osaka from Kochi to start his 3 month training period which requires him to be placed in new employee housing along with the new employees of the year. They are still considered to be in a trial period and can be fired with cause if the do not complete the training period.
He graduated in March and moved to Osaka in April. You can do the math.. He can't take time off during his trial period under no circumstances sans family emergency. He can be fired and his career finished. So whether the tournament was in June or may he was totally screwed. Sadly that is the reality of the job market and with him starting his career with no other experience he had no choice but skip Sasuke. Hell he hasn't even trained in earnest since before graduating.
I've talked to him several times over the subject and he initiated the conversation early with the production staff. He is heartbroken he could not go but tbs assured a heroes welcome when he returns in 33.

I remember you talking about this. As soon as I saw his name missing, I knew real life finally caught up. It happens. Happy for him that he's got such a successful job set up.

Thank you, Arsenette, for explaining all and answering my question

I'm glad Yusuke is moving up in the world. TBS will definitely keep their promise. Good luck Yusuke Morimoto.

So this is just another Akiyama situation. Hopefully Yuusuke doesn't have the same fate as Akiyama in his first tournament as champion...

So this is just another Akiyama situation. Hopefully Yuusuke doesn't have the same fate as Akiyama in his first tournament as champion... Well the difference with Yusuke and Akiyama was that Akiyama choose to skip Sasuke 5, while Morimoto didn't have a choice.

The show has already been renewed for another season technically. Until we have an official announcement from TBS, it's still just an up-in-the-air rumor. They could announce it today, and cancel it by December. Wait until an official announcement, which usually includes dates for applications.

At least Yusuke knows to put life responsibilities before SASUKE (I'm looking at you Yamada). {Spoiler}On a side note, I think this is the first time Shingo's gotten 99. Ever!

{Spoiler}On a side note, I think this is the first time Shingo's gotten 99. Ever! Both him and Takeda had this distinction. (100 as well on both of them) It's kinda why I freaked the heck out after finding out for obvious reasons. :3
