Drew could definitely go further but overconfidence got the best of him. I'm elated to see him as the MVP of ANW8 and it makes you wonder how far can this guy go. Skilled-wise, strength-wise and stamina-wise he one of the best competitors in the history of SASUKE/ANW/etc.

I love how some people are complaining that they made it too difficult That's because after 2 people beat Stage 4, only seeing 2 make Stage 3 is clearly not about an entertaining, balanced course, it's 'we don't wanna pay out'. Which is fine, but I disagree with the idea that you can't be balanced with your difficulty. Outside of a couple nitpicks, Stage 1 was fun, it was entertaining to watch. Stage 2 was a chore.

Stage 1 was tough but like you said was fun and enteraining. Stage 2 had some good but overall I have to agree it was kind of a chore. I did like some of the new stage three changes I like that Body Prop that things looks brutal

What if the log grip/silk slider/etc was moved to the first obstacle of stage 2?

What if the log grip/silk slider/etc was moved to the first obstacle of stage 2? Be a good replacement for the old Pipe slider

Okay that needs to happen. Giant Dipper. With a huge jump to the sideways ladder and crawl across it to reach the Salmon Ladder.
That'd finally be a quick opening again!

Drew is on the Wolfpack Ninja Podcast today. They talk about last night quite a bit as well as his time on Sasuke. Really good interview with a crazy busy guy.

I know this is probably tired territory, but I still feel I need to say something about it. I've been frustrated watching the show before. I've been annoyed. I've been elated. I've been all over the place emotionally. This episode hit an emotion ANW had never managed to get me to hit: anger. What happened to Flip was freaking stupid, in my opinion. I know it was in the rules, but that's the first time I've ever heard of a rule on any obstacle (for both ANW and Sasuke) where you can get disqualified for being too good at the course. It would be like disqualifying someone for skipping rungs on the Salmon Ladder. I can't say it's an unfair rule, but it's a rule that makes no sense, other than to punish someone for being good at swinging obstacles.

Off-topic, but Drew isn't the only person to go the furthest in both ANW & Sasuke. Levi went the furthest in Sasuke 20, and technically went the furthest in ANW 1 (if you count the performances of Americans in Sasuke 23 as a part of ANW 1). Just something I wanted to get out from listening to the first 5 minutes.

Let's say he gets excited to be the first at anything by bypassing previous history. NBC has made it easy for people to forget the past. Post a message to the Wolfpack. I'm sure they will fix it.

Off topic, but I still can't forgive Akbar for picking Brent over Drew on his All-star team last year, we could have seen Drew go all out to beat 1:08, just thinking about it is almost orgasmic.

Since when has anyone been disqualified for not following the rules? Look at those antics on canon ball alley in season six, and I'm sure there's quite a bit more examples.

They let people not jump the bar to the top on the Salmon Ladder, but they can't skip the second board. Totally unfair.
