I don't know why add the non-obstacle form Jumping Bars... Why didn't they just extend the platform... Just a reminder they extended the platform for a regional 3 years ago... I'm sure they could have done it for Vegas... (Fun fact: That platform was placed at the spot where the most successful non-employed tester got on the obstacle failed it )

SASUKE 30. Also Drew managed to clear the cliffhanger LIKE IN JAPAN IN 32! So the footage they showed was only of 30? Someone sent me a message via twitter that they showed 32 was it that they mentioned what how did there?

I was hoping they would mention Drew going the furthest, but oh well.

Stage 2 needs to be redesigned to avoid a long time limit

For as unoriginal as 32's 2nd Stage was, I can forgive it because of why they couldn't. You can't innovate when you lose either the time, crew or cash. Or any combination of those. I don't see a reason to harp on it. ANW has the opposite problem: they have the ability to throw everything at the wall and see if it sticks, but it's at the behest of an exciting, balanced stage. The Giant Ring Swing and Double Wedge are Stage 3 obstacles, not Stage 2. I can never complain about 135 seconds again knowing 210 seconds in a possibility. 3 minutes 30 seconds is a bore and chore to sit through, especially when everyone fails. I do like the Down Up Salmon Ladder, though. Wave Runner has a terrible rule. Hate the Giant Ring Swing and Double Wedge. Still ambivalent to Butterfly Wall. Wall Flip is a neat idea, but I wish there was a way to have the walls open a path instead of just walking over them. Because why not just ignore them and walk over them outside of the threat of DQ? I agree with the double wedge being on stage 3. But the ring swing I think has enough energy and movement to keep it as a stage 2 obstacle. Butterfly Wall needs to be either eliminated or moved to Stage 1 (maybe where the propeller bar is) I'd rather just remove any obstacle that needs a trampoline to just get on it. Or severely limit them. They have so many, it's a little ridiculous. - Propeller Bar - Jumping Spider - Flying Squirrel - Butterfly Wall (which doesn't need it) - Double Wedge - Start of Stage 3 Of those, I'd just keep the Flying Squirrel. Big maybe on the Jumping Spider. The Ring Swing is just another convoluted start that needlessly lengthens the time limit of Stage 2. The Spider Walk and Chain Reaction were long obstacles but they never needed the course to be move than 2 minutes. Not even the Cross Slider does that now, it's the rest of the stage that does it. When the quickest clear on the first obstacle is in the 20 second range, you need a new start.

I'm honestly torn on stage 2. Part of me really appreciates that stage 2 is no longer a pushover stage. I feel like for years in Sasuke and Kunoichi we've been used to stage 2 simply being an awkward middle ground between the real action that goes on during stage 1 and 3. With the way ANW is set up, stage 2 is much more challenging than it traditionally has been. The other part of me agrees that it's a hot mess. The Giant Ring Swing is a really boring way to start the stage. The Butterfly Wall being the only obstacle that wasn't replaced is lulzy. Totally agree the Double Wedge is a stage 3 obstacle, and the time limit is a mess.

I did not like Stage 2 tonight what happen to the mix of obstacles from years past. I do like the the up down salmon ladder I hate the double wedge but I did not like the wedge in the city so I admit bias; I do like the flip walls.
Stage three; I like the circuit board knock off and the Body prop. Man Drew was looking strong and I know that body prop had to be brutal but Drew powered right through it and was looking strong he just messed up on his grab placement.

Well I know this is an awkward placement but I wasn't sure where else to put it. ANW confirmed new season.
To go back to this topic, stage 2 needs a better intro obstacle. SASUKE nailed it with the chain reaction, I just don't get what ANW was thinking this time. The salmon ladder, wave runner, and wall flips were fine too. Wedge I'd move to stage 3 replacing the hang climb. Just have the wedge tilt up slightly to prepare for the flying bar. Also major props to Drew for making it back to the obstacle he failed before. I thought for sure the body prop would take him out.

They were solid 2nd place for most of the summer and 1st place now that Bachlorette is off the air. And, unlike years past, the Vegas episodes are rating really well. I would have thought it was a no brainer to renew for at least 2 seasons. NBC has nothing to replace it with either at this point. P.S. Yeah it should be it's own thread.

Something of note: when they previewed the Double Wedge, they had to use footage from USA vs. the World of Stefano doing it....this is because literally no one else could do it that night, including testers

I love how some people are complaining that they made it too difficult Yeah that's a perfectly fine complaint, the ring jump and wedge are complete overkill designed to make it as difficult as possible.

The POM Run of the Night spoiled the show. I knew for sure there wouldn't be any stage 3 finishers when I saw Drew get it in stage 2. What is even the point of it? Do the competitors get some sort of reward? It needs to be moved to the very end of the show or removed completely.
