Just drove by the lot last night (which is way smaller without the course). They'll likely start building next Tuesday or Wednesday, but I wanted to start this thread early. Who's coming (to at least watch, if you're competing I understand the NDA)?

I should be able to. Last year I went by a week beforehand and I saw Roulette Row. But once I go to watch it will be hard to say things because of the NDA.

Also, they said this season they have 27 new obstacles. According to what I know of the 5 regionals, there have only been 19 new obstacles (if you count the floating steps and new warped wall only once). So I'm guessing there will be 8 new obstacles in Vegas, probably mostly in Stage 3.

I'm expecting a complete renewal in Vegas.

I'm personally hoping to see the classic spider climb/rope version of the final stage. Always was my favorite.

Could be wrong though From what I know certain cities (Indy and OKC) have at least 4 new obstacles. Depends if you could their obstacle 8 as new or modified. But yeah, still a lot of new Vegas obstacles regardless.

I was in Philly last night right next to the announcers both. When they were filming themselves talking at the end they said "Join us next week at our all new course in Las Vegas," or something like that, so I would expect some major changes.

I really hope they don't have a USA vs the World competition this year. It's a pointless tournament and it's only true purpose is to make the Japanese look like noobs, when they're in fact very experienced. f***ing NBC and their patriotism...
Instead why not have an international competition (USA included lol) but instead of going against each other it's the traditional way - Man vs. Course. One person from each country connected to the SASUKE/Ninja Warrior franchise takes part as their country's representative (including Tahiti and Netherlands) to try and bring the Vegas Course down. That would be much better, right?

And yeah, but that format is probably gonna be the Sasuke World Cup. Let NBC have their event. Last year's was an improvement on the one before it, so who knows, it might actually be fair this time.

Well they better give Japan some practice runs or else there may be trouble ahead.

If there's a massive overhaul for Stage 1 and 2 this year, then Japan might have a level playing field. Unless that overhaul includes a bigger wall or Jumping Spider.

Well they raised the warped wall 6 inches in qualifying. Do we know whether it was raised in Vegas too?

I have a few ideas of what will be in the Vegas course. I have a feeling they might bring the rolling hill from Sasuke in as part of the first obstacle. Also, I can see a variation on the Indy balance obstacle as the replacement for the coin flip. I can also see a jumping spider/hourglass drop hybrid where you jump into the jumping spider, move though half, then fall to another tramp to reach the second half. Not very creative, but I totally see it happening. For stage 2 I'm almost certain the salmon ladder is getting modified. To make it tougher mentally for those who just autopilot through it, I was thinking the rungs would be various distances ranging from 9" to 1'6". So all are within an acceptable range, but you have to think before you start. Stage 3 is definitely getting some form of the vertical limit. Floating boards might be in an upside down V formation, and they might be cut more tapered so your weight is more on your hands.
