No way Reko is going. Unless he's catching the red eye flight. He's still stateside working.

SASUKE sources are claiming that Yoshihiko from DDT is the wrestler for this year, in a story almost as stupid as all these ANW guys coming to get there butts kicked by SASUKE. (However in all seriousness this is a great move to get some ratings and I see why they did it, Kacy clearing Stage 1 would be huge news in Japan even though it probably would never happen) All in seriousness at least we have 2 ANW guys to cheer for now (Brent and Drew Drescheruru). Hype levels for this tournament have just gone way up! I just hope they let Isaac be Number 1 and do his run, see him fail and then chuck him off the film set All the best luck Drew and Brent! ALSO!: You thought with ANW off the air it would be gone, but it will instead make it's triumphant return! BEGIN THE KACY COUNT!!! (My prediction is 14 ) PS: Can an admin create a Sasuke 32 Discussion Thread (Possible Spoilers) thread as this has gone wayyyyy off topic from Isaac

I'm having a hard time believing Isaac is competing. I'm wondering if he was thinking audience, walk-on, or somehow a plus-one for someone. I just would be shocked at 4 Americans competing, in addition to some Chinese & Taiwanese. Plus Wreath-Man!!!

Kacy has been invited too. Tbh tho if the course is similar to 31 she actually has a pretty good shot of being the first to clear. Unless the Tackle+Warped Wall is a b**** to her...

No way Reko is going. Unless he's catching the red eye flight. He's still stateside working. Reko somehow made it to auditions on 2 days' notice. I think he can manage to get to Sasuke Also Anshin, I know it'll be a pain to move over the non-Isaac posts but can you please make a 32 discussion thread? thx.

Usually we wait until taping is occurring/had happened/an actual airdate but considering there's discussion picking up but the threads are too specific in scope that isn't official news, I figured now would be as good a time as any to start. Discuss anything you find regarding the taping/broadcast here. Remember, general discussion can mean many things and if there is some particularly juicy information you discover, make sure you properly tag it as a spoiler. If you don't want to risk it period, best to avoid this thread entirely. We'll create the other appropriate threads (competitor list, obstacles, that sort of thing) when relevant.
I'm also moving the influx of non-Isaac posts here for the time being.

It's exciting to hear about several Americans being over there this time. I hope they have a great time and enjoy the experience. However, although I want them all to do well, I hope their results don't over-saturate those of the Japanese and other foreign competitors (a.k.a. I'd hate to see a SASUKE 26 repeat). It should also be interesting to see how the producers can modify the course (in terms of introducing only 5 new obstacles) in a way such that they can prevent a new champion. I probably seem diabolical when I say this, but even having a Final Stage attempt in a renewal tournament is bad programming. Besides, it's yet to happen, and that tradition should remain intact in my opinion. Lastly, I'm curious to see if Nagano will officially announce his retirement during SASUKE 32. Regardless of if he does or not, I really hope to see him come and spectate in future competitions; SASUKE will never be the same without his presence (the same can be said for Yamamoto, Takeda, and the other All-Stars).

(the same can be said for Yamamoto, Takeda, and the other All-Stars). Well with 26 we were lacking half the all stars, one of which being Takeda so it did feel weird. It would feel even worse when Shingo leaves but based off what he's said, that isn't happening until his own body gives out.

Oh god. I can't shake the image of an all American stage 3. Can't decide whether that would be a shame, or hilarious.

Or they'd tell Brent "Sorry dude, you cleared stage 3 but it doesn't count because you didn't keep your legs straight enough on the Vertical Limit". Or maybe "You weren't CLINGING to those curtains so much as HOLDING them so you've been disqualified".

I doubt there'll be another rule controversy but I wouldn't be surprised. Not because they're xenophobic, but because rules like that in general shouldn't exist in my opinion. Unless there's a safety reason why a certain thing cannot be done, I prefer obstacles that can be approached in a number of ways where the only rule is to not touch the water.
